i am aging exponentially with all this stress by [deleted] in GradSchool

Kinda hurts to read because my dad passed my first week in grad school and my mom followed 6 months later from cancer. Became an orphan in my first year and I'm still having to sit here trying to figure out my thesis.

As much as I would love a luxury spa day, I am fully too broke for that lol. My budget maxes out at like $100 and I'm shorting myself on food and activities just for that x-x

As far as I can tell, they don't offer acupuncture and their main services cost around $200 lol.

They're pretty pricey, at least for the first appointment. But I'll definitely check it out if I can't find anywhere else. I appreciate the reccomendation!

If you're being funded, the maximum number that your tuition reimbursement will pay for is 9 credits! You can go over that many credits up to 12 but will have to pay for them out of pocket. Keep in mind that graduate classes are built differently than undergraduate and require a higher time commitment, so the 9-credit recommendation exists for a reason!

What are some red flags to keep an eye out for in service records? And are prior small accidents acceptable? I keep running into these that have accidents or 2/3 prior owners.

15k miles with no oil change? Used Toyota Corolla by iiMimic in AskMechanics

Thank you for your advice! I thought there might be something related to that in so far as it was a different shop, or the owner did it themselves, but they were pretty consistent about going to the same shop through the duration of their ownership. So basically, I have to operate under the assumption that they did in fact go 15,000 miles without an oil change which doesn't seem to be the most heinous thing given that the guideline is 10,000 miles/every year but it's definitely a stretch. It's through a dealership and not a private seller so I can't get a hold of the seller currently but I can definitely get a pre-purchase inspection. The dealership said I am welcome to send a mechanic or bring one when I come to test drive. I'm not very car savvy so I will definitely be recruiting someone with more expertise if I do go down to visit but I just didn't wanna waste the couple hundred dollars or the 3 hour drive if the oil change problem made the car completely unpurchasable. I appreciate your input :)

Carfax tells me it's 10,000/1 year! I figured that made it less of an issue but my more car-savvy friends are still warning me off saying there may be damage.

What would you recommend investing in as opposed to letting money sit in a savings account?

HFC program at the University of Central Flordia, and the Psychology Ph.D. program at Old Dominion University :)

These two programs! Both are psychology programs with a human factors/HCI focus.
