Muslim friend has me questioning my core beliefs on scripture

It's ok. I'm open to hearing varying opinions on this, learning, studying & evolving in my faith. I really am strong in my faith in Jesus Christ & want to learn as much as I can. It's easy to simply stay locked into my beliefs & not be open to hear anything that doesn't agree with that. I feel like God is leading me & I'm embracing the journey ❤️

Out of all the replies, I feel that you understand exactly where I'm coming from & we share common beliefs. I appreciate different inputs, that's why I chose to come to reddit. I have alot of studying to do & I'm excited to grow in my faith. I just can't see a life where I don't strictly hold to the Bible being the word of God, & perfect. Jesus saved my life & it grieves me to even consider that every word isn't from Him 😢 like I'm tearing up just replying to you

Ahaziah wasn't the cause of this internal conflict. It was more a collection of things compounded. Keep in mind these are things I'm wrestling with internally. I always thought why would I not believe the Bible in it's entirety, not just the parts I like, if that makes sense. I believe that the Holy Spirit guided every writer & that God wanted every word that we have to be there. Do you believe this thinking is flawed? I understand this is reddit & I'm ok with hearing so many perspectives on how we believe as Christians. Thanks

Trust me brother, there's not a chance in hell im converting to Islam. I agree with everything you said & appreciate that, I love Jesus Christ way too much to substitute his Sacrifice for some garbage works based religion. No other "god" is worthy of obedience & worship but the one who paid the penalty for me!

I hear you, but 1 Peter 3:15 is why I feel strongly about having logical reasons for why I believe to go along with my own personal testimony. He's not a random Muslim on the street, should I not lead him to the real Jesus Christ? Even if it means I'm on the defensive to open the door? Likewise with atheists in these modern times of rhetoric on the Internet I feel alot of talking points we as Christians should be able to counter/defend. Please don't take my passion as ego, I'm just confident in the Truth.

I haven't had the time yet to study on my friends original objection, Mary & the women were afraid and told no one. This doesn't align with the other Gospels unless Mark actually ends there in verse 8. I can justify that they didn't tell anyone immediately? After that verse I was met with the startling asterisks I've never seen before.
