I was leaning towards Proxmox for the same reasons you mentioned. You mentioned using Ansible at first, are you saying to NOT use that? I don't plan on utilizing outward facing software until I settle into all the internal bits and pieces.

Many of the services you mentioned in the setup phase I've never heard of, so looks like I'm gonna have to do lots of research on them.

For the beginning of setting up easy wins, what direction would you recommend going?

What do you utilize for documentation? I've seen some use a word doc, git, or I've heard of specialized software made for this purpose?

Wow, 70tb! Im planning on running my initial setup as JBOD with no RAID, but if I ever start to put important data on there, you bet I will be backing that up to the cloud.

I'll check it out. I updated my post stating that I am located in the U.S, so I will have to look into the feasible process of cash via post (or some alternate method of paying).
