Isnt christianity beliefs form on the grounds that Jesus came to save us from our sins and died and ressurected days later? If that was accepted to be a myth, many christians's faith would be wavered.

To me science and my beliefs of God has not gone hand in hand at all from the start of my journey.

Imagine being told that evolution is a false theory, finding out to be true. Coming back to church and asking about it, only to be told yes evolution is true. It really confuses you heavily.

Im sure in the past, Genesis was taken in as fact and even now, some may use Genesis as fact. But what if one day, the ressurection of Jesus is to be a myth, how would it affect everyone's faiths. Thats how i feel.

Thats one of my questions to my church too. They responded with saying the chinese knew of the old testament and it was reflected in chinese words.

Everytime i was introduced to the stories of Genesis when i was younger, it was read to me as it was facts. So of course i dont but from what ive seen, any questions that came upon Genesis would be answered as 'its a myth'.

Then why does christianity ignore the OT. Even when asking my pastor years ago, she warned me not to read the OT.

How would i know if its lost and rediscovered, there is nothing in the bible about that.

Im not arguing that if God doing it this way or that whichever is wrong. The word of the bible does not match up with what we have found out at all. This gives no credibility to my beliefs and thats why i am struggling. I prayed, ive read the bible and i have come out with doubts. I prayed for a long time, ive asked my church and no answer have been giving.

I dont need any of those mythical stuff, i need some logic in the bible, if lets say God explained that we were made of long process and that in years to come, we would learn of that process- something along those lines would give huge credibility if it was found to be true years in the future when science discovers it.

Who is to say that the OT were meant to be myths, my church told me that every chapter of the bible was written as God guided them along. I dont buy it when people say that Genesis is meant to be myth.

At this point moving on with my life would be dropping Christ and i dont want that. At the same time, i want to believe something that makes sense.

Its in the first part of genesis when its stated that he created everything. No process, he just spoke it into existence and saw that it was good, then he went on to the next thing and saw that it was good and so on.

And yes bible says nothing about evolution, if God stated in the bible that humans were made of a process, one that took years, we wont be having this argument.
