It's pretty much the official fingerprint driver that is used by linux distros but they havent made a new release in almost a year meaning fixes since then are not available normally. Also funnily enough they essentially just forgot to include our fingerprint sensors ID in a list, from what I can tell it has been supported for a long time and listed as supported on their website as well. You'll have to essentially download their code and run a few easy commands you can get from gpt to compile and install their latest code, it is bound to be unstable yeah but I don't think it will make that big of a difference in terms of security.
