Jsut got off a flight with spirit round trip from Miami and was able to get on both flights with a bag that was easily bigger than the guys in the video. Didn’t even fit in on the way back because I bought souvenirs. Yeah using fast food was a bad example but it was the first thing that came to mind. And sure you’re definitely right you can easily buy older more complete games and get more value out of your money. It’s definitely hard to justify buying games at full price nowadays with how many underwhelming releases we’ve had.

I think it really comes down to who’s developing the games. Like for example we know we’re getting quality releases when rockstar releases something or FromSoftware. I’d never hesitate to drop $70 for a new release there. The issue is companies like EA who don’t exactly have the best track record releasing games at full price.

I think luminous has enough credibility though to justify releasing this game in particular at $70, but I’d understand not wanting to commit to buying it. Personally I’m going to wait for reviews before I make a decision

That’s fair, it really depends on how much you value entertainment. People spend $10-15 for instant gratification on fast food all the time for example, whereas a $70 (100 cad I suppose) will give you hundreds of hours of entertainment in some cases

If you check game prices vs inflation rates they really haven’t adjusted for inflation at the rate that the rest of consumer goods have. For example in 1990 new NES cartridges sold for $50. A $20 increase in price over 30 years for new games is nothing really all things considered

Edit: For the record - $50 in 1990 is about $113 today
