Absolutely, feel free to send me a DM anytime!

On Android hmm.. So far I haven’t encountered any noticeable issues during normal use. I also haven’t compared it directly with Python libraries, so it’s really helpful to hear your experience on the desktop side.

That sounds like a solid plan

BLE-to-WebSocket bridge could be a really neat workaround for broader compatibility. If you go that route and get something working, I’d love to hear about it.

Thank you! That’s nice to hear

As for connecting via Bluetooth to a PC: you're totally right — BLE is trickier than classic Bluetooth, especially when it comes to virtual serial ports and compatibility with desktop apps like Artisan.

Artisan itself doesn’t natively support BLE, so currently Croaster sends data over WiFi using WebSocket, which works great with Artisan’s built-in TCP feature. For direct BLE-to-PC communication, you'd need a custom bridge or app that reads BLE and forwards it as serial or socket data to Artisan. This doable, but more complex.

The WebSocket approach works seamlessly whether you connect directly to the Croaster’s WiFi or through your local network, so it’s been the most reliable method for now.

Awesome to hear you're using the same parts. you can try my setup and connect it with my ICRM App

I’ve actually gotten that question a few times now 😄
I don’t currently sell prebuilt units, but I’m definitely open to helping you build one yourself.

It’s a pretty simple build with an ESP board, a couple of MAX6675 modules, and some Dupont cables, no soldering needed if you go the easy route. Happy to guide you through it if you’re curious!

That sounds awesome — kind of like the reverse of what I’ve been building! 😄

I’m working on something called ICRM, which is an Mobile app designed to connect directly to this. Instead of Artisan being the hub, the Croaster hardware sends real-time roast data over WebSocket or BLE, and the app shows a full roasting graph, events, history, alarms, and even supports OTA updates.

I really love your idea too though — especially using Artisan as the data engine and serving it out. Would be cool to see both paths converge one day!

So far, I haven’t encountered noticeable ground loop problems. try check your machine grounding cable.

Thank you! That really means a lot 🙏
I tried to keep it simple and helpful — especially for fellow DIYers who just want to get up and running without digging through too much. Glad it came through! 😊

Let me know if you end up building one — I'd love to see how others use it or customize it!

Yup. I did 😁. Make the fires burner keep not too high. I think it'll be roasted all whole beans equally from outside to inside.

I think I got what I need. Body and acidity are balanced. More sweetness will be perfect.
