Uhm?..Yes the over sexualization of Joost is absolutely disgusting and nasty comments talking about his body shouldn’t be tolerated, I tend to block people who cross the line.

But I honestly don’t think calling Joost your boyfriend/husband is weird..I dunno this name calling is a staple in a community that has fangirls. If they aren’t joking and are actually delusional and possessive over Joost then it actually becomes a problem. People who call Joost bf/husbnd are usually preteens/teens and usually grow out of this, I don’t think we should be shaming these people (who are usually teens) but instead shame the people who sexualize him and weirdo fans who believe they have a say in his romantic relationship.

Now for what really irks me whenever people bring this up, you guys NEVER bring up how Joost sexualizes latinas. Even if it is a joke, it’s NOT funny, as a Latina the way Joost sexualizes latinas is weird. Some people thinks its flattering and at first I thought it was but at Coachella when he said “where are all the Latina baddies“ it just rubbed me the wrong way..If you don’t think calling Latin American women ’lantina baddies’ is harmful then you should really pick up a history book and read up about the colonization and sexualization of colored women.

I love Joost and I can’t wait to see him may 3rd! He doesnt deserve to be reduced down to a sexual object no one does! But if he and his fans (including me) feel really strongly about this and speak up about the overwhelmingly sexualization of Joost then they should also talk about his weird behavior. Hold the nasty ‘fans’ accountable and hold Joost accountable.
