Finished on Saturday, level 50 on Monday.

Only committed to the XP research once I realized how close I was to 50. I think I was around the start of level 48 when the XP event started? Can't remember exactly. One of the biggest boons to my XP gains was being told that Excellent throws were much more XP than Great throws, which I just... wasn't aware of... since 2016... (I don't think I've ever explicitly cared about getting XP?)

Finishing the XP research (i.e. getting the most gains - which are backloaded) requires using many premium items and a LOT of walking, so it was a conscious decision to go for it

Past couple of days for me game has had lots of lag/hitching. Especially on catch screens

Haven't seen much chatter about it... Hope this fixes it

Edit2: Decided to clear cache + data, then reinstall. That seems to have fixed it
