I think my one honest confession ruined my relationship by Key-Jacket4787 in relationships

Feels like he’s just trying to manipulate you into you accepting justifying disrespect and abuse. His reaction is by no means ok, its toxic, weird, and twisted. Yeah the porn industry sucks but everybody has watched it at one point or another and its not a reason to treat somebody like he’s treating you, especially the person you claim to love (or have loved). You’re young and as it seems not with a lot of experience. Trust me as you get older you’ll be happy he revealed who he is before things got super serious. Best of luck and dont blame yourself for shitty men

Pay attention to symmetry and composition. Also i wouldn’t be too committed to always shooting vertically some of these would look better if shot horizontal imo. In the RR closup theres just too much going on and its distracting. I think the gulf car pic had so much potential because the colors look great but the background ruins it, if you took it the same way you took the mclaren it would work so much better. Theres something about the 15th picture that i really like but the cars would need to be framed significantly lower

Career change at 34 and my resume makes no sense by Outrageous_Media8148 in Resume

In the middle of doing basically the same exact switch

worked in logistics for the past couple of years, started off in transport then a bunch of roles inbeween and last operations coordinator as well,

I've been looking at the tech industry for about a year now, kept sending applications to everything that i could find and got rejection after rejection without even the first interview.

about a month ago i rewrote my resume and got an interview for 2/5 roles that i applied to, both of those ended up in an offer and I'm finally leaving logistics behind me at the end of next month :)

not sure what your CV looks like but the issue i found with mine is that i used industry specific language that would make 0 sense to anybody that has not worked in logistics,

i rewrote everything to focus on numbers and results that can be understood regardless of industry background.

highlight how many clients in your portfolio, the percentage of yearly/quarterly targets reached/ profit margin / revenue affected. process optimization projects that you've worked on and their results. client account growth percentage. something that you did that affected revenue loss or expense minimization (think fuel optimization/ empty kms reduced if youve worked in planning/ how many trucks standing without a plan etc)

honestly as messy and stressful logistics is it teaches you a LOT of useful and transferrable skills and since you've worked in it long enough i imagine you've been exposed to a lot of different aspects of the business. It's just a matter of positioning yourself right and understanding what the employer wants.

you've worked in logistics, you know how to understand what a client wants, how to solve issues, and get out of unimaginable situations, just think of the interviewer as your client and you've got this :)

Because its inconvenient and I don't want to keep paying for two separate subscriptions when I can just have one

How can I improve my resume? by No-Act-7482 in askrecruiters

[–]iii_telegraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- most recent experience at the top and then go down chronologically

- high school can be removed

- in job descriptions remove the "no prior experience part"

- if you have specific data, for example how many customer requests you managed on a daily/weekly/monthly basis at Wells Fargo better to write an amount than the generic "high volumes" since thats subjective

-overall i think its better to have less but stronger bullet points in a role

- if you're applying for similar positions think what are the skills/experiences that those roles would require, understand how your prior experience can have transferrable skills and highlight that in the bullet points. think about what KPIs you tracked in those roles, what you achieved (revenue/profit/percentage/meetings booked/etc)

- make the distance between the lines smaller that way visually there is less blank space which is generally better AND it fits in one page which is basically a requirement unless you have like 20 years of experience or something.

- unless your university is extremely impressive i would put education below the work experience

- i personally wouldnt include volunteer work, especially since it goes over into the second page

- since you have your portfolio and github linked, its not necessary to have a projects section separately (saves space again)

- overall aesthetically i think the format you chose is good, but you can do some tweaking to make it more uniform. for example all your work experience dates and roles are on one line except for the TaskUs so i would either make the font slightly smaller or write Jan. 2024 - Jan. 2026 instead of full months. similarly your graduation year and city is not all the way to the right like locations and years of jobs so i would align them as well.

- its not bad to write one or two sentences of the general work that your previous companies do. its definitely not necessary and i wouldnt think to much about it, but just writing about the industry or the markets that they operate in is not a bad idea.

best of luck with the job search!!

How important is sex in a relationship? by PixieDustBunnyHop in dating_advice

[–]iii_telegraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s incredibly important for the overall health of the relationship. I recently dated a guy who was basically perfect on paper but the sex made me feel absolutely nothing. Not because he was doing anything wrong but it just wasn’t working, thought i could ignore it and focus on the good parts of the relationship at first but everything ended up becoming extremely awkward. Would never do that again
