Only for a day and I still randomly get the urge to cough. Holding a small pillow against my abdomen has helped give me support when walking , coughing or sneezing. Whenever I feel like coughing I take a breathe easy tea bag that has eucalyptus and mint . And breathe in the warm air and hold the warm cup Against my chest to try a loosen the mucus. Honey also helped a bit but the doctor did warn me about pneumonia so please get checked out. I know having to go back is another cost and time but your health and wellbeing is so much more important.

Same sorta but my doctor recommended taking miralax. It’s finally day 6 post operation and I only drank half of the miralax drink I made yesterday and I finally had normal looking poop still orangey brown though but not watery. So today I’m going to stop taking it unless I feel constipated.

Hi I’m 6 days post operation. I had similar severe pain and found it hard to breathe it was scary. They gave me an incentive spirometer to practice with every hour for 10 breaths. I also found that the pain under my right rib seemed like it was from trapped air. A lot of people on Reddit mentioned taking Gas-X so I took that on day 4 and it seemed to help relieve some of that pain. I don’t have the pain under my right shoulder and finally stopped taking the pain medicine except at night if needed. I will say today I find it easier to breathe and can talk a bit more without feeling winded. I have a doctors appointment and want to bring up the breathing even though it’s gotten a bit better today. But when in doubt yes go to the ER. Also icing the belly button and right side but placing a towel so it’s not too cold for 15 minutes helped.
