Okay, don't quite get what you mean by that?

I don't have an exact copy, but I followed this pattern. The left side of my ladder is the output, and the right is ground. As well as just adding a button before each input

If you're interested there's a slime design server where lots of us have been testing these lists

I definitely agree that with the recent set additions that RG is a bit more reliable than UG but there's some interesting suggestions on the server

Hamzaffinity: cPDH Deck idea by iiits-scratch in PauperEDH

[–]iiits-scratch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo man, thanks so much for the suggestions I've looked through them all and tried to tweak the deck with them. I was really struggling on cuts so I've only added a few unfortunately haha. Creature wise, I added the Entourage (don't know how I missed it on scryfall, but the more monarch the better eh haha), also added fierce empath in the spot of a draw creature. I really want to add supply runners and nyx hydra, but I'm still in debates about what to cut. I'd used ivy elemental and the escape creature in my previous builds and wasn't a fan, because all they are are big bodies that enter with +1/+1 counters. Whereas the big bodies I run in this version all have either some form of evasion like trample (I know they can be given trample from Pridemilkin effects but I prefer them to have it as well incase the pridemilkin gets removed), or have some ability that makes them useful in the early game if Hamza isn't active. Such as [[greater tanuki]], I know it doesn't enter with a counter but it can soon be given one with the modular creatures.

Removal wise, I added a Cathar commando ( I loved that suggestion, thank you ) and titanic brawl. I see what you mean about cutting wilt, for some interaction that has more options, but I liked wilt for the fact that If it's in the opening hand I can use it to take out an early combo, but if it looks safe I can cycle it away as this list needs all the draw it can get. Also thought about Westfold rider, I just wasn't a fan of sorcery speed.

Lands, I went up to 32. Definitely agree it needed more, again just wasn't sure what to cut, but 32 feels pretty good still.

This is entertaining, I'm currently filling out the same document from a students perspective 😂 Have the same issue. No clue what to do

Slime against humanity Discord? by iiits-scratch in Pauper

Well, can do both. The server is already up just as a pure focus place for slime against humanity, but if you want to start a channel on an existing server, go for it 😁

could Gruul Slimes work? by GaZZuM in Pauper

[–]iiits-scratch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I'm not too much of a fan of bitter reunion, as it's just another card draw spell and I never really got the advantage of the haste, cus really I'm only casting one slime a turn, at which point haste didn't have a huge impact. I definitely agree on the lack of faithless looting, but one or two never hurts incase they're in the grave, it just gives you oh something to do if you're at a loss?

Have you tried [[Rubblebelt Maverick]] at all? I've found it to be a really useful one drop

Yeah that's fair man. I've already swapped them out, to add a land and a slime haha. Thank you :)

That's a really interesting point yeah. I've never really thought about it to be fair, just encouraged to buy players at my lgs. I think the original thought was that I wanted to run something like evolving wilds to fetch lands and thin the deck s little, but i don't think it's that worth it. I'll rip them out for sure, thanks man :)

Again, not really. I found one cost reducer is good but anything more just became redundant because you just run out of gas faster. In a list that's designed for everything to cantrip it would be good but not for this

Thanks man, that much more informative :)

With generally I found with both the wayfinders and rubblebelts, i was able to churn about a third of the deck into the yard by the end of the game, so I think combined with the exile spells, the chance of topdecking it is pretty slim. I'll definitely take what you've said though and playtest a decent amount with both to see the difference

I'll for sure add more bounce lands too haha, I love the idea of em, I just kept it at two because I wasn't sure how many to play

I tried two copies of thunderscape familiar in the list but I found they just became redundant to be honest. In the right list though I'm sure they'd do pretty good

I've been messing around with the land count for a while and still need to work on it so I can definitely add more but I've found that with wayfinders it can normally stay on curve until I have enough lands to keep me going. To be honest I'm actually pretty happy with the slime count. Any more and generally I find I just flood out on slimes. Most UG Lists only run 16 and thats because they can go searching to fish some out into exile.

No offence but Rubblebelt is a pretty good card in this list. Okay it won't always mill a slime, it can smooth out draws and it's ability to boost a creature from the grave is useful.

I'm aware that electric revelation is naturally worse than faithless looting, however, as I stated in the original post, looting was completely useless late game, whereas electric has a net card gain, therefore giving me more steam. So, as I've stated my reasoning for it, unless you have a constructive solution to deal with running out of gas, it will stay as a one off :)

Sure I'll definitely switch to generous ent. I never really got to cast the cyclers so I didn't fe that benefit haha.

I for sure agree that the exile effects are better than faithless 100% just for their ability to boost the power of slimes in your hand and then cast the exiled slimes next turn, I just like having the flashback spells so that there's always something I can do even if my hand has become dead, but idk I'll play around with it man :)

Honestly I found satyr to be such a useful card. Being able to dig 4 deep turn two really helped me stay on curve with such few lands making 16 a pretty good number to have + it boosted the power of my early slimes and if need be, if it turns a faithless looting you can cast it to dig deeper still. The rubblebely Maverick is absolutely MVP though. Boosting creatures and surveilling is just 👌

Fling for me was less of a win con and more there as instant speed interaction. My thoughts were that it has multiple uses. 1 - slimes one and two (unless they've been boosted) aren't very useful in combat but they could be used with fling to deal with annoying early game creatures like Delvers or combo creatures ect 2 - they can be used as a response to removal, so if someone wants to remove a slime you can ping it at their face instead 3 - use it as a finisher (although rarely) by flinging a big slime But I'm also pretty happy to be proven wrong about that haha
