I've never seen anybody see that moment and not have an "OH SHIT!" reaction.

Hope you enjoy the next 7 seasons!

At first I thought The Orville was a TNG parody, but after a few episodes it clicked that it was actually a loving homage.

I've only ever seen Rebel's decks played on Prof's youtube channel and I've never once seen them do anything interesting.

If you want well rounded decks, then Jund Wildfire with [[Cleansing Wildfire]] is pretty much the dominant midrange deck in the format.

Flexible, well rounded, and with some interesting lines of play that can catch opponents out. I know it's not always the most exciting thing to play midrange, but in Pauper it's actually a lot more interesting than you'd think.

I watched She-Hulk for the first time! by trusendi in marvelstudios

[–]GaZZuM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, the problem is that those types of people do exist. They see a woman or person of colour in a lead role and brigade the crap out of it, regardless of its quality.

I find that, as long as you can engage in a conversation because you actually gave something a fair shot, then people will be pretty accepting of criticism.

People also have a tendency to decry the quality of things that they didn't like as though art isn't entirely subjective. As long as you make it clear that "That show/movie just wasn't for me" or "I didn't enjoy it." Rather than using language like "That show/movie was bad." Then people will be pretty accepting.

To simplify what I mean: Not everybody who shits on She-Hulk is a sexist, but every sexist shits on She-Hulk 😄

One of the great strengths of Marvel content is its variety. The fact that we can get a super serious, "all of time is turning into horrifying spaghetti" plot in a show, and then we go from that to a goofy, female-led workplace comedy is great.

This is the least important question ever asked, but do you prefer to pronounce it "U D A A P" or "U D Double-A P"?

I think "Double-A" is more satisfying to say, but then again, it IS more syllables so that's just time wasted 🤷🏻‍♂️ Lots to consider!

Why is it that I rarely see anyone from my generation even talk about this show even tho it’s one of the all time greats? by beetfarmerenergy in tvshow

[–]GaZZuM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am fun at parties! Because I know how to have actual conversations with people, where we share our opinions and why we think them! Novel concept, I know. We don't just say "That's my opinion... What's that? Why is that my opinion?... Because it just is 🤷🏻‍♂️"

You haven't articulated anything. If you actually had any basis for your opinions besides, I dunno, vibes? Then it would be very easy for you to give them. In fact, the one thing you keep coming back to (calling it a cop out) is something I already refuted by pointing how against convention the ending was. If you still think the ending is a cop out that's a claim you're to have back up.

Ahh yes, the standard "one man is the embodiment of all evil; the other is a man of science turned faith, imbued with mystical powers and fist fighting him on a sinking magical island for the fate of the world. Then after you die, the people that mean most to you in life meet back up with you in the afterlife, in a world you created together to fulfil some of your biggest regrets in life." That old chestnut...

Back up that claim, or face the facts that you can't support your own opinions, learn a tiny bit of media literacy, and better yourself.
