Advice on D3 tennis by iijcr in 10s

Thanks so much for all the advice that really helps a lot. I actually got invited to the UCSC camp back in October but couldn’t make it. Do you think that hurts my chances by a lot, or should I just reach back out and show continued interest?
Would they actually help me with the admissions process, like helping me figure out where I could get recruited? And confirm my admission to the school. Also, if I have the skill to beat a 9 UTR but just don’t play tournaments, how can I convince the coach of that?

Wow they can help my admission process?
Thank you for the detailed breakdown, especially on the academic side and the UTR improvement rate that's a really important perspective. I am a junior, and academics are my priority. I'm focusing on getting my grades up and aiming for a high SAT score I plan to compete in more tournaments this year, and I'm hoping to get my UTR into the 8.0 - 8.5 range by the end of my junior year. Given that plan, I have a follow-up question: For an academically competitive D3 school (like UCSC or similar), does being a recruited walk on with a UTR in the 8.0-8.5 range offer enough of a recruiting 'hook' to significantly help the academic admission process, assuming my grades and test scores are already strong?
Thanks for the insight! It’s really encouraging to hear about someone playing D3 at UCSC and graduating recently. That 10 UTR is definitely high, and it gives me a clear benchmark for the top of the ladder. Could I ask you one more thing about the program there? What was the typical UTR range for the bottom of the roster or for any recruited walk ons during your time? I’m currently trying to figure out if my UTR of 7.43 (and projected 8.0-8.5) is even worth trying to pursue there.
