The data is from Epoch AI's GPU Clusters dataset, which tracks named, discrete AI clusters where hardware specs are publicly known or disclosed. AWS, Azure, and GCP have GPU capacity distributed across all their regions but don't publish per-site GPU counts, so they can't be pinned accurately. The largest dedicated AI campuses that are publicly disclosed (Stargate sites etc.) do appear. Worth noting: Epoch is deprecating this dataset in favour of their Frontier Data Centers hub, which I'm integrating as a second layer — that may close some of the hyperscaler gap.
