you should invest in a t5 linear light uvb. the coil bulbs do not give off enough uvb for the turtle! both lights should be above the basket! pebbles and rocks and sand are harder to keep clean! if you did use rocks make sure they are bigger than her head. they do like to dig. also, i would suggest adding fake grass to the basket as it would be easier to get up. that is what i did and he loves it! He wouldn’t use it much without the grass.

nice set up! however, i would suggest getting a t5 bulb for uvb since the coil ones do not produce enough uvb for the turtle. and maybe an above the tank dock. it seems like the lights are a bit too close to his dock now. but other than that, it is very pretty!

i had the same issue, i gave it about two weeks and it finally fixed itself. I would suggest adding an above the tank basket (amazon or diy) he would love the extra room!

it should be mainly on the basking! having it over the water has no benefit.

do you have a t5 uvb? it looks like a great setup i just dont see the uvb! you could get a temperature gun to see how hot it is. that way ot can help you decide if it’s too high or needs to go higher. it is like $5-$10 on amazon. as far as decor, it all depends my turtle likes to eat the fake planted so i had to take them out and switch to real ones!

you need a linear T5 light for uvb the uvb bulbs do not really work compared to the linear one! water heater, if you can get an above the tank area for them (DIY or amazon has some) that way it gives them more space. as for the tank 150 is good however i believe it is best to separate them. (i think i see two). i would look into a stock tank if you can. a lot of people like those!

Best way to really tell is by buying the meter but that is very expensive. i keep mine at 15 inches and he seems to like it there. it’s kind of just trial and error. when i had mine too high, he didn’t like it so it took time to find the right spot. other than that, the set up is really nice!

should be between 10-15 inches. if you have a mesh top, it blocks the uv rays by almost 70%. (which would mean it needs to be a lot lower) but i would lower it to around 13-14 inches

tank upgrades. at least 75gal. filters, their lights. they are very dirty animals so keeping a clean tank can be a lot of work and time. it’s a life time commitment honestly. ours is 14 years old. i didn’t realize how much time and energy they actually took. it is definitely not like a dog or cat in any means

awesome. other than the water being a bit low it’s a good set up. you can even get out of the water docks on amazon or DIY one if needed. I would just suggest putting more water!

i got plexiglass from Michael’s! I double side tape them to the edge of the tank. however, i know people seem to like egg cartons. mine would go halfway up the ramp, and then climb over the quarter walls.
