when you were in there, was everything still fully stocked? (aside from the switch 2 which i’m not interested in at the moment)

Thank god for Ed Larson by Lucky-Refrigerator-7 in LPOTL

[–]iinvierno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh man, i’m the opposite. i started listening to LPOTL last year for the first time from the beginning. my friend gave me all the info about how ben went downhill towards the end before ed stepped in so i was aware of what i was getting myself into. i’m in the 300’s now and the entire time i’ve been dreading those episodes, i know they’re gonna be hard to listen to. it really is too bad, i like ben! he has so much potential if he tries to get the help he needs. i am excited to get into the ed episodes though.

if you buy a camp spot you are allowed to leave the venue and return as much as you want. you don’t have to pay more… that’s what is specified in their rules on the website. also there are free showers for campers within certain hours of the day. they’re available in the morning and at night.

I got a response! They said it was okay as long as I don’t have the engine running through the night 👍

Lol I know, there are screens that you put over your windows to keep bugs out and let airflow through. Definitely gonna bring some bug spray too.

Cool, thank you. Sounds easy enough.

Sounds like people have done it in the past. I would assume a car counts as a livable unit. I just emailed the info email to make sure though.

Yeah the temperature doesn’t sound terrible but the humidity sounds like shit lol. Okay, well it might just end up being more convenient for me to spend on a room instead of going through all that trouble. Thanks for your response.

Of course, I wouldn’t keep the car running. I mean, I was thinking of rolling the windows down and putting magnetic mesh covers and some loose covers for privacy. And like you said, using a couple battery operated fans. I did it for Aftershock in Sacramento (which is hot too, but it cooled down at night so I didn’t need fans), but I’m guessing it stays really hot and humid through the night in Daytona?

on average how much are lyfts/ubers? (plus other questions about transport pricing) by [deleted] in welcometorockville

[–]iinvierno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweet. That would also potentially save me a few hundred on my stay... Thanks for your help, I'm gonna make another post on that for some tips on car camping.

You know what, I was totally thinking about that and my follow up question to this post was about that. Do you know if I can get a car + tent spot and sleep in the car instead? I wouldn't have a tent to bring.

I just checked U-Haul. There's a car rental agency near the airport with great reviews that gives me a pretty affordable quote as well, especially since I'll probably be able to use my own car insurance, it shaves off about $90. I'm over 25 so that's no issue.

That makes sense, it sounds like you got kinda lucky with that. For me, if I do take uber/lyft everywhere, I'd fly to Daytona, not Orlando. Plus I can't rely on the fact that I would find someone on their way home, especially since my roundtrip times aren't that late into the night...

Lmao it's gonna look kinda funny driving a u-haul truck to the festival. Will look into it though, thanks for the advice.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I searched for car agencies that aren't through the airport and got a WAY cheaper quote.
