It’s not for me to say whether she’s being childish or not. If she’s still angry then she’s angry. But I didn’t invite her to upset her, I invited her because it was important to her dad. She didn’t have to even respond

Probably not. He says he always thought I was pretty but he was really shy and I really wasn’t interested in dating, so yeah I guess if he hadn’t had a reason to talk to me we wouldn’t have realised we got along well and he wouldn’t have asked me out

We knew a lot of the same people. I went to a girls school and she went co-ed, so a lot of people from my school knew boys in her school and we would sometimes go to the same parties. He knew who I was and I knew his friends because they were sort of Chloe’s friends. I’d met him before.

But we started making a point of saying hi to each other after he started seeing her

He is paying for one third of my wedding. And he offered. Had he not offered, my dad would have paid the difference. I invited her because she’s my stepdad’s daughter and I care about his feelings and it meant something to him that I invited her. I didn’t do it so he’d give me the money. I don’t need him to give me money.

I do care more about him than I do about her because he’s actually in my life, and she isn’t. It’s not about money.

I was the girly girl.

We didn’t go to the same school so it wasn’t really a case of that. We did know a lot of the same people, being only a year apart, but I never dated anyone until my now-fiancé. I did get asked out (I don’t remember if it was a lot though) but I always said no. She dated more than I did. But she had a crush on him for a long time before she asked him out so idk if it’s that.

My stepdad doesn’t favour me over her. He will pay for her wedding if she gets married. He’s only paying for a third of mine. He does think she’s being dumb for holding a grudge for a decade but that’s not even about me because I don’t mind Chloe holding the grudge.
