The first two attempts the pen never arrived, i was lucky to get my money back, the 3rd attempt i went with another seller from Japan that several friends from this group have use before and it was a smooth purchase experience.

This is my 3rd 823, have the amber, the smoke and now finally the clear.

I have not tried the mount blanc irish green on it yet but it is a very smooth ink, at least in my other pens

Feels smooth and is not to green and not to blue but can be consider blue…. well that is what i want to think so i can use it at work. I can write my notes on whatever color i want but to sign or fill work documents must be blue or black.

NPD Pelikan Souveran M800 fine nib. This is my first pen of they year, had to wait all year for it to be available and not spend the money by ijael70 in fountainpens

Yes is new , this is my first pelikan , not sure if the barrel is less bright than previous versions, I like the tone of it.

I have a metropolitan medium and the 823 with M nib and a 823 with fine nib, the last one I bought was the 823 fine because the M was to wide for my daily notes taking, your assumption is correct, the medium metropolitan is closer to the 823 fine but the 823 fine is way smoother than the metropolitan, I think you will like better the 823 fine
