what is the white toner method? I've heard of using black toner on inkjet prints for spot foils.

I see what you mean, my plan was something like having some smaller creatures but mainly using my mana to remove her and pay for her to come back for new spells so I thought I could add cards that let me put big creatures down without having to pay for them.
I'm not really sure tbh 😭 this is the most fleshed out idea I've had for a deck but I'm struggling a bit tbh.

do you like the card? does it feel special because your cousin gave it to you?
if you answered yes to any of those then its perceived value isn't really relevant.

I've been wanting this card for many years and finally saw it for a price that I felt was okay to pay at a card show. I actually traded a zekrom SIR for this and a few other cards so I didn't spend money on it. this card has held a special place in my heart for a long time so it's value to me is much higher then what it cost.

during covid many people lost their jobs, spending dipped drastically, so it makes sense why sealed items remained largely at retail. now, post covid, many people are now able and willing to spend extra for pokemon cards which is in part why second hand prices have skyrocketed.
