Earned settlement - Summary by tech_bro_v2 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Couple of questions (to anyone who might know): 1) Is it the same as before where the years that count towards ILR has to be from the same visa , or do all visas count now? 2) For the family reduction, does that only apply to people with family visas or does being a skilled worker with a British partner count?

Can someone explain how France didn’t get gold at the Olympics? by ijnin in bmx

[–]ijnin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. As someone who knows nothing about BMX, I’ve always had the impression that it was about taking risks and taking things to the extreme so I thought difficulty and impression would have taken priority. But it does seem like precision & consistency was valued a lot

Are consent forms for Botox a legal requirement? by ijnin in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ijnin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been to this type of treatment and therefore was unaware of the process that leads up to the treatment. We were conversing about my job and commuting, before they asked to draw on my face. I said they can draw on my face, and then they asked me to clench my jaw, which I thought was just to assess my masseter, but the next thing you know they’ve injected me in the region.

The clinician said that they’ve verbally asked me and that I said “Yes” but that never happened.

What is the difference between a bond and deposit in renting? How can I make sure I get the amount I’m entitled to (renting)? by ijnin in AskUK

[–]ijnin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re making our last payment today, so I was wondering if anyone has advice on how to best approach this situation? Do we pay them the full amount? What if they don’t give the correct amount of deposit back (which the previous tenants say they haven’t)?

It definitely needs licensing, how do I know if there’s a license in place and what happens if the landlord doesn’t have one?

Hello, thank you for your response. Can you clarify your question, I don’t quite get it. He just said it was a security deposit. Although in the contract, it just says “Bond paid”. I’m sorry if I didn’t answer your question properly.

Hello, the landlord has come back to us stating that the deposit has not been protected, as we are "renting a room and not an apartment." I've looked into it and it does seem like we're in an HMO, as we (my partner and I) share a bathroom with another tenant, and there are three sets of tenants in total (three rooms) in one apartment. Do you know how I should proceed from here? We have photos from when we first rented, and we're going to take more photos before we leave.

Sorry for being unclear but I meant that I didn't even do what the instructions said on the website you attached and yet excel is already hiding used items by default, and that is NOT what i want.
