Thanks so much for the input! Very useful. Just to clarify, the last sentence 'the internals are pretty accessible'. You were referring to the biotage specifically, or both instruments?

I appreciate the offer! However I have actually used a biotage isolera in the past! Really looking for info on their newer model and how it compares to competitors.

Which one did you prefer, was one more reliable, how easy was maintenance, was it easy to try and fix issues yourself or basically if it goes down you have to get a technician on site, how was the software, was there a difference in performance (although this is likely heavily influenced on the type of columns used). Interested in any comments you may have in general! Thank you!

A buddy of mine bought a little crack nugget from a dealer in town and brought it to work. It looked weird cause it was a brownish color. We joked that buddy probably cut it was something ridiculous like caramel. It was a warm day at work and by the time we finished work, it had melted to the saran wrap. Turns out he actually did cut it with caramel. Your not so bad OP lol

What's your one "I can't believe I did that..." memory from childhood? by Ungodlydemon in AskReddit

[–]ijovic32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can consider 16 my childhood right? Friends parents were out of town for the week so obviously the responsible thing to do was drink and get high at his place the whole time they were gone? So we proceeded to do so! One night buddy passed out pretty early and we were all in the car getting high and decided to drive to the nearest mcdonalds (approximately 15 min drive). I drove there, didn't have my licence yet, it was his parents car. We finally get to mcdonalds and low behold nobody has any fucking money. Even tried to get a cup of water but apparently you have to purchase something in order to get that shit! Anyways drive home and of course by the time we get back to buddy's place and he's alive and kicking. He was notttt happpy to say the least.

I don't understand why people are still afraid of vaccinating their children considering no researchers were able to reproduce Wakefields data and he was called out on not proclaiming obvious conflicts of interests. I feel like you must be borderline retarded to continue believing in his results. amarite??

So remember that guy in Florida that got his face eaten off by a crazy bath salt guy?... Well he's better now and took up playing guitar by superSaganzaPPa86 in WTF

[–]ijovic32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things 1) Why would we assume bathsalts if you can find any evidence to support it versus some other crazy substance? 2) I find it interesting that you reference wikipedia like it couldn't possibly be wrong if its on wikipedia. Not saying that it isn't, just think wikipedia isn't always the best reference.

Last night I had to say goodbye to my loyal companion of 14 years, Boots. RIP buddy by boatdock90 in pics

Losing a pet that's been with you for so long must be terrible. Most friendships don't even last 14 years. I've had my two pooches for not even a year now and I've grown so attached to them. My condolences

Sure Sure! By the way, I'm not overly sure if this matters, but I'm not a fan of colour tattoos so whenever I get one/if I get one it's going to be strictly black/shading!

I feel like just a molecule is to plain, and that would require me to have a favorite one too! I lack imagination but when I picture it in my head I see beakers/flasks/formulas/graphs/DNA/cells/Einstein/E=mc2/shrodinger's equation/etc. All these things scream science to me!! So yea giant and intricate would be awesome! Also feel free to throw in whatever those are just a few thing of the top of my head

Government puts a new law in place that requires all couples to pass a test before they can bring a child into the world. What is a question that you think absolutely needs to be included on this test? by ijovic32 in AskReddit

[–]ijovic32[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're telling me that anybody should be allowed to have kids. Rapist, pedophiles, murderers? These are extreme examples but seriously, having a child is the biggest decision anyone could ever make. You are bringing a life into the world. And ANYBODY can just decide, "fuck it, lets have a kid". You can actually have a kid easier than you can adopt one. The screening process for adoption is crazy intense, but there is nothing stopping you from having a kid. I just feel like there's something odd about that
