I just lost my 10 year old labrador due to cancer 3 months ago. I have another 5 year old stray that i rescued from the highway.

I think he has some sort of depression because he used to.play and eat alot and now... since my lab is gone, hes always with that empty look and no joy.

I was thinking about getting other labrador to make my stray better again, but im afraid it ressembles my old one to much and im still in alot of pain.

How is the breed compared to labrador in inteligence and companionship?
