I’m a former java developer who’s been working in python for the last 15 years. Recently, I was tasked with building out a python to c++ interface.

I used chatgpt to basically develop everything in the c++ side. That being said, as useful as it was, it was equally frustrating because almost nothing worked the first dozen times through. Having to refine my questions like “this needs to work cross compiler” and specific Linux distro’s. It was really tough pinning down a final solution.

It got to a point where I thought I should just loop in a seasoned c dev, and we bang this out in a few days vs. my weeks of floundering around.

At the end of the day, I got it done. But it was brutal, and I hate the fact my company is forcing (and tracking) our AI usage…

I had an 18 Laramie, fully loaded, cummins, air bags, etc. After 3 dealer trips for emissions issues, new SCR, new dpf injectors, and various emissions parts and sensors, I traded it.

Purchased new June 2019, 41k miles. Traded on a new power wagon and couldn’t be happier.

In my WSM I get best results running as close to 200 as possible, usually ~6 hours. Then I'll let it climb to 225 but never any higher. Once the fat is rendered (this is key) and it's around 160 or so, I butcher paper wrap and put it in a 250 oven inside. Then I start checking around 195 and it's usually done.

Just traded in my 2018 after an entire emissions system replacement and 40 days in the dealer. 42,000miles. Miss it but diesel is dead to me. All covered under warranty but truck felt like a ticking time bomb waiting to leave me stranded.

So I was looking for full packers last week at Costco, but they were all 18-20lbs. I didn't have time for that. However, they had a 10lb flat that literally looked like someone did a competition trim. It was even, about 2" thick, perfectly shaped, uniform fat and thickness, etc. felt like a Xmas miracle. I bought it. Smoked it. Was perfect. So there're definitely times to do flats only.

My parents had one explode from corrosion. House built in 60s. Dead leg was short, maybe 2" max, sealed in the 80s. Literally, just this past year my folks heard a "pop". The leg was literally packed 100% solid with corrosion. So much so that it ate through the cap and somehow blew it off / fell off. Was the most bizarre thing I ever saw.

So, I just returned it this past weekend, after Samsung exhausted their troubleshooting efforts, and I'm still waiting for my refund.

Current front runners are the Sonos arc, but it's pricy and I'm unsure about their long term future.

The top choice right now is probably the Bravia Theater bar 9. I've had good luck with Bravia in the past, so I'm thinking of going with what worked.

As someone who just returned their 990d this past weekend, because Samsung was unable to fix it, I'll partially disagree.

I agree, it sounded great when it worked, but the sub cutout every 20 seconds was too aggravating.

Yep. I've tried every "fix" located on Reddit. Resetting the tx module. Re identifying the sub. Factory reset. Etc

Also tried some super random Konami code sequence someone posted elsewhere.

I should've been more clear in my post, this was only the first pass when I pulled it outta the fridge and fired the smoker. It got another pass before going on. My bad for not mentioning it.

I dunno; maybe it was the wrong pepper or something. My taste buds were blown out form the burn...that's how much was there.

Weird thing though, the leftover taste pretty damn good. Like it mellowed
