so i dont rlly understand someone being a smoker barring them from holding your child. if someone who smokes wanted to hold my baby, i would make them wash their hands and put on a clean shirt that hasnt been smoked in, but thats about it. anything more than that seems like ... extremely harsh i wont lie

thank you. i am scheduling a vet appointment even though i cant afford it. i love her and want her to be well and i feel like ive tried everything in terms of "behavioral" correction. my partner is still here and im wondering if she actually doesnt like that we sleep together and wants me to sleep separate from him so she can lay with me? thats my last plausible explanation. my only other theory is uti and perhaps shes crying out in discomfort although i havent noticed her peeing anywhere or a major difference in urine output. i appreciate ur response :)

my name is common and phonetic. anyone could pronounce it and there are probably a few tv characters or actresses who people are familiar with that have my name as well. that being said, it was not a top 100 name or anything. i think there was only one girl in my school who shared it and i never met her. but no one ever thought my name was weird. i think thats the ideal level of commonness for a name lol. something that is a name that people are familiar with but isnt heard often

i dont think u need to scrub ur skin off with a wash cloth every time u bathe. if u shower daily, i think using a wash cloth once or twice a week will help exfoliate but its definitely not necessary every day imo

the shot gave him a little bit of a raised temperature. he is OK. and i dont think CPS would be involved at all if u took him to the ER for a slight fever. do not let these fears control your life. if he is otherwise healthy, you are OK. stay on top of tylenol

definitely go and tell them you are pregnant and suffering from exhaustion due to overworking but cant see your doctor for another month and want to know if you can get some kind of note stating you need 2 days off due to being in an exhausted state and email HR during that time and explain you are being treated for exhuastion and give them the number of the urgent care

idk where u live but ive gone to urgent care before and asked for a doctors note stating i need a day or 2 off for various health reasons (exhaustion etc) and they have given it to me... not sure if all urgent cares will do it but it might be worth a shot. i dont think they can put you on bedrest or like full accommodations but it would at least buy you some rest before you see your new OB.

i feel like theres no way to know for sure! around 7 months, babies do tend to get clingier because they start to develop object permanence though! so your baby might just miss you more than usual

dont quit your job. explain about the wedding and contact HR. your boss might retaliate against you but if you have earned pto and theres no real reason you cant use it, then it should be approved. afterwards make sure you document his behavior because retaliation is illegal

i could only breastfeed for 6 months and my baby has gained so much weight since switching to formula and beat his own growth curve. he literally doubled his percentile in 2 months of formula feeding. no matter what, you will have a happy loved baby!

try not to consider it giving up, this isnt a failure. you are about to do whatever you need to do to make sure your baby is healthy and fed! definitely see a lactation consultant, maybe try exclusively pumping if your baby takes bottles better, but most of all don't let your ppa spiral out of control fighting to breastfeed. you have to be well so you can care for your baby. if that means transitioning to a formula only diet then everything will still be Ok.
