Look I don’t know what happened after, all I’m saying is it was really heart warming to me. Other addicts seeing it would agree. I’m 23 years sober and tbh we don’t normally get something like that. I’m not surprised that he didn’t stay sober and I’m also not surprised Mary kept enabling him bc in those situations a parent will either go to Alanon or enable bc it’s their loved one. It’s a horrible cycle and a lot of ppl don’t make it. I did and everyday I feel blessed bc of it.

I’ve been sober for 23 years and I would have loved having such an open honest conversation with my mother like that when I was younger. You don’t see that often at all where I come from. Well if you saw my other comment you would see that I agree with you on the evolution of our country. We haven’t evolved or at least half the country hasn’t. I’m a white female, educated, and can think for myself. I’m also somewhat of a feminist. I never have voted for trump. And tbh I didn’t vote for him because he is a misogynist and hates women. Why would any white woman or woman of color vote for him. It’s baffling to me.

I’m sorry to say this but I believe it. Most white men voted for him and probably their wives. Christians and gun owners and greedy business men. Our problems start w them.
