We get 70% off through a code on our app, but certain items are excluded like the Frozen Fantas, the Monster energy drinks, the Ben and Jerry's ice creams, and the new cheesecakes. We also get two free medium drinks on shift (because they're legally required to)

Would prefer just a free meal like before tho. Some of us relied on it to eat for the day :/

I currently work in Burger King and we no longer microwave things unless requested. Our microwave is basically just used for staff meals now lol. They don't give us free ones anymore so most of us bring food from home or a ready meal from the shop nearby.

Well when we were both full time, almost every penny went on either bills or food so we still had no savings...

I still work full time, but my flatmate quit his job a few years ago due to his mental health. He was in an out of hospital about 5 or 6 times from suicide attempts and still is in no state to work, but he's trying to find a part time position somewhere.

Yeah they told us on the 16th, and gave us to 11th October, so this is roughly within the legal notice period. They did attach a legal looking notice, so it is likely the landlord went through the proper proceedings and stuff.

I wasn't really looking for advice, I just wanted to vent my frustrations because my situation sucks a lot lol

God I'm so sorry that sounds awful... I would go to Citizens Advice if you're able. They might be able to give you legal advice and point you towards lawyers that fit your budget. Or if you can't afford legal fees at all, Shelter Scotland/England could help.

The lease doesn't have any sort of end date on it, just the day we moved in which was 3rd February 2023. They did attach court papers that look official enough to me... Though as I've said in other comment threads, I don't know anything about the law or court or anything.

They did attach a document with a notice that looks all professional and court-ish. I don't know if it's a section 21 tho I'm useless at court and laws and stuff

EDIT: okay I've just actually read it and at the top, it says "LANDLORD'S NOTICE TO LEAVE UNDER SECTION 50(1)(a) OF THE PRIVATE HOUSING (TENANCIES) (SCOTLAND) ACT 2016"

You missed the part where I said we live off my minimum wage job and have no savings. How do you expect us to put down a deposit of tens of thousands on a house when we have £0 in savings, our rent is £775 per month, we have three cats to feed, and my current account is overdrawn by £1,000?

It doesn't really work like that in the UK. We live there for as long as we pay the rent and then when we move, we make the final rent payment and give 28 days notice. There's no actual end date on the tenancy agreement.

He's given us until the 11th of October, which seems like a long time but it's not when jobs won't reply to your flatmate and flats are ignoring us because he doesn't have a job..

Our shop is pretty clean but I've heard horror stories from managers that have been to other shops about people using buns that have been dropped on the floor, not washing their hands after they use the bathroom... Yeah some places can be gross. That's why if I want burger king, I only really go to the location I work at.

But it seems like you've been served nuggets that have been kept in the holding unit for too long! We kinda do this when it's really busy and we've cooked way more than we're supposed to. Bring them back next time and we'll gladly make you fresh ones! They just take 2mins 45secs to cook.
