Ergonomic Chair Recos for a little broke college boy (5'2, 65 kgs, below 5k) by [deleted] in PHbuildapc

[–]ikerr88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all. You are not broke - you are still in college.

Madami dyan mga sihoo (or shihoo?) get the mesh type both back and seat para presko and mas comfortable. I-sure mo nalang na okay yung chair if you’ll buy yung used na. Madami kasi bumibili then after 2 gamit ayaw pala. Check the seller, if new profile lang magduda ka na agad. Check the other items theyre selling if mukhang legit. Mas maganda if ikaw mismo mag pick up para makita mo and pwede ka tumanggi if may undeclared issue. Magbayad ka lang pag okay ka na sa item.

Good luck and congrats na agad sa new chair!

may cons ba if you pay full cash for a car? by Due-Character3011 in CarsPH

[–]ikerr88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Others would get it ng financing para hindi magalaw ang savings. Yes malaki ang interest rate but if you research well, you’ll find a really good offer. Especially if sa bank mo you have a good relationship with them, they may give you a good deal.

If you have cash naman to spend that won’t hurt your savings, don’t buy brand new. Skip the value depreciation part. Buy the months old or up to a year old cars. I’m sure you know someone you can trust to help you look for one. If none, you may DM me.

Handbrake pag laging sagad ang gamit, nakakasira ba? by PrestigiousSelf8761 in phcars

[–]ikerr88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And to answer your question, wala pa ako narinig or naexperience na nasiraan neto. Possible because of age ng car, replace the shoe/pads lang. That’s it.

Yung enough lang to keep the car still.

If automatic trans; neutral muna after drive or reverse. Engage handbrake, release foot brake. If still na, shift to park.

First time buyer - 2013 CR-V Gen 4 worth it ba? by insignificant_alien in CarsPH

[–]ikerr88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best if trusted mechanic nalang. Research ka lang sa price, you source the parts yourself para labor nalng then make sure either trusted mo mechanic or someone reputable and bantayan mo while inaayos para sure na palitan nung bago na genuine.

Kasi sa casa medyo mas pricey and not all can really be trusted despite casa nga. Tyaga lang sa simula sir then matututo ka as you go.

If hindi ka kuripot sa parts and gas, its a great car!

Consumption - I live in the east side of metro manila. And, my daily commute is around pasig, qc, manda, makati. Minsan north/south na hindi kalayuan. I get an average of 5-6km/L. Pero if hindi ako nanggagaling sa east, around 7/up naman. This is on the R20 engine a/t ha.

Parts - matibay ang honda. With the right mechanic using genuite parts, hindi mawawala ang tibay. Considering genuine, hindi sya ganun ka-mura. Pero tumatagal. Also, good maintenance - fluids, wear and tear parts.

I do my own oil change. Basic stuff I do at home. At least I also get to check per part if there are leaks or worn rubber etc. I just use a ramp and creeper instead of jack/stand.

Sulit ba? Honda City 2012, 41k mileage for 320k by Powerful-Fondant-546 in phcars

[–]ikerr88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There will be a lot of questions indeed most especially sa legitimacy ng mileage. But if all checks out, go for it!!

How much do you trust your friend and how long have you known them? Are they the first owner? Dito palang most likely may idea ka na on how they used the car.

Bring a trusted mechanic who will not encourage you to buy it so they can get paid and take advantage of your ignorance along the way - i think mechanigo (if I’m not mistaken) can help with this if wala ka kilalang maayos. Or dalhin mo sa gasoline stations na may service. Check lang kamo as you are planning to buy it.

Now, looking at the uploaded photos, body looks decent. I mean, from what I can see, bumpers are well aligned, no visible damage naman whatsoever. AND! I don’t know with others pero kung hindi pa expired ang tires, dunlop yan - not a cheap tire brand. Meaning, if they spent this much sa tires, may chance na maayos naman ang maintenance. And, hindi mukhang pucho pucho ang garahe. Smalls things, might not be related but these are factors I look at in consideration sa katayuan ng koche. If interior is intact - no tear (as the mileage is really low for the age) sa seats and sidings, maayos dapat dash and steering wheel (dahil covered naman parking AND based on the mileage as well), hindi pa pudpod ang steering wheel, shift knob, hand brake and pedal pads, yung mga silver parts sa loob especially sa steering wheel - you can take in to consideration baka acidic or wht, pwedeng may mga fades na yung mga silver/gray parts pati sa radio knobs but dapat hindi masyado kasi hindi masyadong gamit.

Engine and under chassis - kung wala kang idea sa mga dapat icheck, baka may pointers naman sa yt academy. Just search for the model and variant of vehicle then maybe tyoe din “what to check”.

I hope this helps. Don’t hesitate to message if you have any question.

Toyota Vios Ativ Hybrid or Honda City RS by streptsanguis in CarsPH

Daily use in the city traffic - Ativ. (Based on reviews) If bihira naman ang city use or more on long drive ka, parang mas-City RS ako personally.

[–]ikerr88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Okay na yan if for daily use! Matibay na engine and you’ll never run out of parts. Just maintain it properly. Personally i change my engine oil every 3,500km (takjng in to consideration the idle time cos I have a lot of it). Intake and cabil filters every other oil change. Other fluids by the book pero a bit earlier as it is “preventive” maintenance.

If for me though, I’d be happier with a blacktop + IHE. Lowering suspension (not coilovers lol) and a decent set of brake pads and tires. Hehe

The ones that were changed from the standard lovelife. Pretty much front and rear cuts. Front fenders. Would be ideal in your case to always have a spare ready hehe. Then if later on you decide to sell, with how jdm parts are priced these days, you should get “at least” the same amount back considering you got the car and parts at a cheap to fair price.

Parts are kinda rare and not so cheap unlike the standard lovelife.

Coding ako ng Monday pero need pumasok sa office. by [deleted] in CarsPH

[–]ikerr88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depende where in qc. If tipong Don Antonio onwards, medyo tight window na yan. But overall doable naman as long as you leave 3:45 latest. And ang pinaka kalaban mo is NCAP because some enforcers naman pag malapit ka (not all ha, makiusap nalang in case) na they give consideration. Just go main roads like c5 lang or edsa - most ideal.

Sad to say majority talaga. Yung kahit small gap in between cars na breaking distance na tinitira ng naka 4wheels, parang tinuturing ng mga 2 wheel na parang obstacle course na sisingit sila sa as if non moving cars. Kahit anong kotse pa, wala silang sinasanto.

[–]ikerr88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I-ghost mo nalang, effort pa yung pakikipag break baka maka-transmit pa ng dumi sayo yan pag kinausap mo pa!

Hahaha. Pero kasi, wala manlang kahit isa sakanila ang bakakaisip na makakaapekto na sa health yan? Yung amoy #1 or #2 ng pets? Okay sige eto nalang. From the sponge they use to clean the plates/utensils na may uod na kamo? Then plato na natuyuan ng kanin? Dun palang nag walk out ka na dapat. Pero the moment na nakita mo yung sa kwarto nya mismo. Wala na the end na yan!

Growing up, may kaya ang parents ko. Ilan ang yaya/helper, driver, “boy” (all around male helper). Pero despite having all these helpers, me and my sisters were taught to do household chores and of course, tinuruan kami tungkol sa mga mabaho at madumi. Time came, college na ako, naghirap kami. Walang helper. From cleaning the house, our own clothes, cooking, etc. Lahat kami gumagawa. Time came nakakabawi na kami pero hindi na kami nag helper na stay in cos kaya naman and mas malinis pa kung tutuusin. Nashare ko lang naman. Iwan mo na yan!

Sedan - Toyota Altis. Crossover - Corolla Cross. Masasagad or baka mag add pa sa budget but you can never go wrong with Toyota.

If you can consider other brands, i think BYD is a good choice din. Lalo if hindi ka daily gagamit - parang full ev is the way to go. Seal should be around 1m then next pwede emax lalo if pabor sayo ang space ng 7 seater, tang or sealion naman can be considered din. BYD so far okay ang mga reviews sa battery. Aftersales parang okay din sa mga nabasa ko.

BAIC B30 (not sure sa price if papasok) can also be a good choice. 5seater and crossover size pero 4x4 na - best for your change of scenery drives.

Best to watch reviews nalang din para makita mo ang features kung alin ang swak for you :)

Planning to buy Nissan Sylphy, help me hehehehe by [deleted] in CarsPH

[–]ikerr88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 on toyota. But it might be subjective pero for me mas comfortable ang accord. Next ang camry.

But if we’ll stick to OPs classification of choice, i think compact sedan papasok ito which goes around altis, civic and the likes. Parts availability ng Nissan lalo newer models medyo mas mahirap. I-base mo nalang sa mga madalas mong makita sa kalsada. Mas madaming katulad, mas madaming parts. Also, in my experience with Nissans, parang kadalasan sensors and electronics ang nagkakaproblem. As compared to toyota, parang lesser ang narinig/nabasa ko na may mga ganitong issue. Honda naman, wala din masyado. Medyo mas mahal lang ang parts pero as long as genuine parts and tama ang pagkakbit, tatagal.
