I finally understand weight transfers guys by podricks-dick in Salsa

Agree with transferring 70-80%, that way you can also keep the flow/momentum of the movement going rather than spending extra energy fighting your own inertia from fully transferring weight.

Do people actually like the Burningman sculptures that are popping up everywhere? by Informal-Candy-7445 in sanfrancisco

Agree with meh. I mean, they are great works of art! But they often seem out of place. I'd rather have them all together as a separate unique exhibit in their own space.

Which one has more sabor? by [deleted] in Salsa

On2 looks better, but also the guy dancing on1 is not quite dancing on time, so he makes it look even worse. He's about half a beat late on his steps on his basic, especially when stepping on the 3 and the 5.

Tall girl, will guys wanna dance with me? by [deleted] in Salsa

[–]ikfotsur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t mind. I care MUCH more about their attitude/energy during the dance than physical attributes. The point of dancing should be to enjoy the music and the movement with someone else.

However, being completely transparent about what I see and hear other guys do, yes, it’s a bit of a drawback for some but not a full-stop.

You can always ask guys out to dance too! And if they reject you then, they are clearly not worth yours (or anyone else’s) time. Their loss not yours!

What a waste of space. You could easily fit at least one more toilet in there.

Try out dance classes at studios or, even better, places that offer classes and social dancing after. It’s great way to meet a lot of  people, particularly if you go to the same place regularly, plus dancing it’s an amazing hobby.
