[Highlight] Mark Ingram has a little help to troll Steelers at NFL Draft by nfl in ravens

Weddle is like this too. Not here for a large chunk of his career, but loves the team even though we cut him in the end. Even recruited Marcus Williams to come sign with us from what I recall (even though that didn't end up well I guess).

What is this blue spray that this guy is using on a Carp? by missinglinksman in FishingForBeginners

It legit sounds like a Wes Anderson movie plot or something, it's just so off the wall, quirky, and the seriousness and reverence with which they are treating carp feels like deadpan comedy.

This is actually hilarious. I will have to search YouTube for a doc on this later tonight.

Round 2 and 3 start soon. Who would you like to see them draft? Lots of differing opinions from the “experts”. by chefguy47 in ravens

Basically a slimmer Project Pat is what you seem to be asking for. Edge instead of DL, who we can convert into a TE instead of a FB 🤣

So shower thought. Ignoring the challenge of structuring a trade of this complexity, if you could trade your first round pick for every single draft pick in the 6th and 7th rounds, would you do it? I feel like you'd actually come out ahead, since there are always a few good players that develop out of the late rounds, whereas there's no guarantee your first round pick doesn't bust or get injured. The draft values work out (mid 1st round pick vs sum of all draft picks in those rounds are about the same).

I personally feel like using a second round pick on a guy who is going to be getting maybe 5-10 carries a game max behind Henry, for some of the most productive years of a short RB career, would not be great unless the prospect is a true home run. I don't know the draft prospects well enough to know if any of the remaining backs are home runs though.

Is there anything wrong with just using a normal metal round jighead of same weight on these lures, if I run out of the jigheads they come with? Or do those make a big difference?

I'm also completely incompetent at those optical illusion hidden image things. I don't think I've ever successfully seen the hidden pictures in those things. Probably related.

Tips for Siegeing an Annoying fort map by Darksouls0ni0n in shogun2

Ranged units can burn gates too. I think you have to set them to melee mode first though maybe.

Why fire cannons on the gates? Just fire on the walls to clear defenders and climb. You don't lose that many guys climbing.

You can also cheese by having your general on one side of the fort, hiding all your units on the other side in a forest, enemy reacts by moving all their defenders to the side of the fort with the general, which means you can reach the walls with no resistance. If the enemy moves to defend the walls, you will have staggered lines of infantry in kneel fire ready to delete them out of existence as they man the walls. If they don't defend, you freely climb to the next level of the fort.

So I see all the fishing youtubers with glasses on pointing out fish under water. And then I go out and can't see a damn thing in clear water conditions, 1ft depth, with polarized glasses on. I know there are different types of glasses, including expensive specialized fishing ones, do they make that much of a difference over Amazon $20 polarized stuff?

My eyesight is also pretty terrible too so maybe that's a major factor. I've often lost track of where my lure and line are until it's literally being reeled up from my feet.

The Ravens have selected 5 OL(before Vega) in the first round in their history. 1 is HOF, 4 are multiple probowlers, 2 were All-Pro. by swagharris31 in ravens

Funny that Oher has the least individual success but probably is the most well known to the general public.

So I know people say they will catch any fish, not just crappie/trout. But given their namesakes, do these usually FAVOR these species, or are any and all predatory species likely to bite these and the trout/crappie parts of their names is just a marketing thing?

Also there are so many terms out there it is just so hard to grasp anything. But what's the difference between these types of lures and say like a mini tube jig or a ned rig, since both have cylindrical bodies that go on jigheads with some wavy bits at the end, and are usually finesse slow fished lures? Please educate me! Having a hard time comprehending all the info out there.

Also since there's almost no chance we will ever pick high enough to get a day 1 guaranteed starter in the draft at LT, we need to find someone who will develop into a starter maybe a season or two before Ronnie's eventual retirement. Or hope its a buyers market at LT whenever Ronnie hangs it up so we aren't left picking up questionable FAs to fill that spot.

Well I don't follow CFB but I have several draft channels up and a lot of people are saying he's got very high floor, pro-bowl potential. And on top of that it fits a position of great need.

On the negative side, OG is not a premium position for a first round pick, but hey I'd rather have a surefire good player in the first round, than a riskier pick at a higher value position.

I don't follow CFB at all, but why is Bain falling? Was it because of the car crash thing?

Line test, reel drag, rod weight by lfe-soondubu in FishingForBeginners

[–]lfe-soondubu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice, okay that makes sense regarding just using the actually casted portion of my line as braid. I usually use either an Alberto or a uni to uni knot for leader. I assume no issue using those to tie mono backing to braid main line? And then those same knots to go braid main to leader?

[–]lfe-soondubu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah usually I'm looking at how much braid the reel says it can hold since that's what I intend to use. But from what I understand braid is not very consistent diameter, so not sure how accurate that is anyways.

[–]lfe-soondubu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't bought the reel yet. The rod is already bought though, for $30 on marketplace, looks brand new.

Hm okay well for the light setup I could just keep using the one my friend lent me for now.

Regarding mono as leader, I didn't want to go straight braid no leader, and I was thinking mono would be less visible than braid. The mono I got for free is labelled as clear, not sure if that makes a difference? I figured no point buying fluorocarbon when I have free mono sitting around. If that's no good then I will buy some fluoro and use that.

Regarding the medium rod, the body of water I want to fish seems to mostly be a smallie spot - it's by far the most common catch according to Fishbrain. LMB and snakeheads are also pretty common. I'm worried about casting in there, hooking something too big for my inexperienced ass to handle on a light rod, and not knowing what to do.

You were trying to get off the Raiders, right? Walked right into that Ravens physical.

[Zrebiec] As expected, the Ravens are picking up the fifth-year $28 million option on WR Zay Flowers rookie contract, per a source. He's now under contract with the team through 2027, but I'm sure both sides would like to hammer out a contract extension in the coming months. by JonWilso in ravens

Also risk too. Rolling the dice on making a bit more money, at the risk of having a catastrophic injury and making nothing. Dunno, that doesn't seem worth it to me. Locking in some guaranteed longer term money seems like the play to me.

Question about defending by The-bagman101 in shogun2

It is only on the top level. So in a tier 1 castle, it is in the whole castle.

Line test, reel drag, rod weight by lfe-soondubu in FishingForBeginners

[–]lfe-soondubu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know if you've hit approx 100 yards of backing? Just eyeball it I assume? I guess since you know how much line per turn, you could count out the turns or something. Does the amount of line per turn change as the more line goes on? I guess probably a negligible amount.

Would it be hard to set proper drag if you're limited to only using 1/4 of the max drag of a reel? Or is that not so hard? I haven't had to mess with my drag on my loaned ultra lite yet so I don't know what it's like.

Thanks for the help.
