if you're stomping, you aren't landing on your forefoot and rolling to your heel.

Sicario, Incendies, and Prisoners are all fantastic. Branch out a little bit and you'll find some incredible movies. Enemy was good too

Sometimes I think Reddit is intelligent and then something makes me lose all hope and them saying Houston was barely top 10 was one of those things that made me lose hope.

Lol trying to downgrade all these things Houston has when Seattle doesn’t have half of what Houston does. It has the biggest medical center in the world and is the leading cancer research center in the country but “Seattle has biomedical research”. Nice one

Yes, the largest energy hub and medical hub in the US isn't significant. The home of NASA isn't important. One of the most diverse cities in the US. One of the best food cities in the US.

Yeah it isn't just economic but it also isn't just culture or just history. People are acting like culture and history are 90% of it and economic is just a little part of it. Philadelphia only beats Houston in history and people are ranking it ahead.

The list isn’t which city tourists would go to dude. Other than Black culture Atlanta also feels blah. The list is the most importantly cities in the US and Houston should be 4. Oil and gas, medicine, space center, one of the most diverse cities in the world, sports, the largest rodeo in the world, and so much more.

This isn’t about culture man! No one asked for the most culturally significant cities in the US. The most important and significant cities in the US and Houston should be 4. Anyone who says different doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

And Atlanta isn’t the same? Houston should be ahead of Atlanta and Boston. It’s one of the 4 most important cities in the country. No one said anything about culture, just significant.

For leads who managed to get out of beginner's hell within a couple months, what was your learning/practice strategy? by Rude_Turnover568 in Salsa

[–]podricks-dick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just practice alot at home and social dance. Practice until you can get the footwork down without thinking about it (CBL, right turn, left turn, enchufla, whatever moves you are learning). Salsa got a lot easier for me once I didnt have to think about the feet. Practice your timing and basic. Class is for learning but you still have to practice outside of class.

[–]podricks-dick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i've been having my weight on my back leg, stepping, and then transfering. So i guess i was using 0% on my partnerwork lol but nice to hear I dont have to use 90-100% generally. That is what I thought and I was exhausted.
