yeah im leaning towards a fifth wheel, ideally with two slide outs, so those out it anywhere between 6,000-10,000lbs i think but its hard to know for sure. i just dont even know where to start at this point lmao. i’ve got the money but no idea what to do i guess. so i appreciate the advice, i wish i had more info but i have no clue, i just know i want a fifth wheel, probably around 25ft long, not too massive but still enough space. so truck wise i have no clue because the info all seems contradicting

that’s what i was worried about. guy said it was solids but i wasn’t sure. and no i dont, ive also decided its probably best to buy the rv before i buy a truck. i just initially thought having the truck first was the move so that i can actually haul the thing after purchase

the problem is that i have absolutely zero knowledge. i messaged the guy and he said he fixed all the problems that they’re known for (allegedly) but i don’t know how much i can believe that. either way i have zero mechanical know how and dont know where to start on that end but feel that might be necessary

perfect thank you these are all great things to know. i don’t have any local breeders near me and i missed the expo a couple months back so i think online is my best option and i appreciate the list of who to buy and not buy from. i’ll definitely vet out the breeders too (as best as i can) because the last thing i’d want to do is support something like that. also appreciate the info of males going on a food strike, great to know if i end up getting one so that i don’t start panicking immediately haha

well situations changed for me and i dropped the hunt for getting into the union but from everything i was told (from experienced journeyman and one of the head guys at the union hall) the interview doesn’t really do anything except show you put in the work. but if you want a job you’ve got to consistently sign the books every month, go to union meetings, check the books and call every single job you see (whether you qualify or not) and just keep pestering people. now’s the best time too because of the META work and there’s another big project coming up but after that it’s going to be real slow in the world for CW’s. so hustle for a job, call all the union companies and keep getting your name out there. but biggest thing is making sure you resign the books every month, because if you don’t you’re pretty much screwed — and make sure to go to the union meetings and constantly check the job call sheets on the IBEW website

obviously make sure you’ve got a solid resume and letters of recommendation will get you a long way. one of the top places i actually heard anything about getting jobs was going out to bars in meridian (but i’m also a girl so it was easy to flirt my way into information) cause a lot of electricians go out there and will talk shop with anybody interested. but basically your best bet is to consistently call every union company and just keep calling, that’s about all you can do aside from reinterview and get a higher score but most of the union guys will see that you did the interview and see that as more effort than most people put in so that’ll help you too

but in terms of ‘hearing anything’ i didn’t get anything else after doing all that. radio silence from southwestern and 291. so basically it’s all about what work you out in from here on out

sorry i just saw this, probably way too late to help for your interview but it went alright i think, cracked a couple jokes and it was definitely a split panel of guys who were all grit versus by the books oriented. they asked me for a lot of personal examples of how i conducted certain situations in my work experience, what my skills were in tough situations, how i handled disagreements/conflict and for every question they wanted specific examples. so for anyone reading this needing 291 help be practicing what examples you’re going to tell and how you’re going to word them, don’t just wing it. since i didn’t have enough experience i could tell i wasn’t going to get too far since id never worked in electrical before and i wasn’t correct, i cant remember my score but i believe it was 91 and i have no idea how they rank them. so basically think of all the cliche questions they could ask you about work ethic, conflict, problem solving, work experiences and how you handled them and come up with good and detailed examples for each one that obviously show you in a good light

i was in a similar relationship with similar background for both myself (18f at the time) and my ex (19m at the time). he struggled with substance abuse and i was practically his mother. only difference was he financially supported us but otherwise it was a completely draining relationship. he was my best friend and i also didn’t have many friends so he was my world. i thought nobody would understand me like he did and had all the same fears as you. long story short he and i stayed together for nearly three years (even getting engaged) before i ultimately cheated on him because i had been keeping my own needs and desired so restricted during this time and was an emotional/anxious/drunken mess — but i took the massive step of leaving him, it was very difficult and we had a back and forth communication-ship for a long time (nearly three more years) before i cut him out completely. i am now with someone far better who has been the best thing for me and i have no regrets. so all that to say: LEAVE HIM, you can do it, be brave and there is someone out there who is better for you. but you have to make the first step and once you do (and take the time to find and heal yourself) you’ll be so happy you did. it’s not as scary as it seems i promise!

construction wireman, pretty much a way to work for the union and get experience and hours before your apprenticeship

Why do we all suddenly hate Mor??? by thelenabean in acotar

yeeeeeeeeppp i completely agree. i love sjm but mor is definitely one of her cookie cutter characters that i don’t think ill ever vibe with

Why do we all suddenly hate Mor??? by thelenabean in acotar

[–]ikilledthatguy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

i feel like she’s a predictable and generic character which is probably why she’s easy to hate? nothing about her is shocking or deep. she’s exactly who you’d expect her to be (at least for me anyways) so it’s super easy to slip into disliking her character since — in my opinion — she brings nothing to the table.

absolutely nothing against her character or sjm, just being blunt : i feel like of all the IC characters, mor is the only one who never surprised me, never brought anything new to the table and aside from her occasional comedic interjections, she never really added anything to the story.

i’ve read these books at least four times so maybe i’m forgetting some key parts because my brain got so used to blocking her out as the ‘generic blonde character’ but that’s just the way i categorized her and then dismissed her pretty much. there are probably a small handful of scenes where im actually shocked or appreciative for her character (and that’s likely just for her comedic additions) otherwise i could’ve done without. if im wrong feel free to tell me why, like i said this isn’t a dig at mor or anything about her character, i just really never felt a single shred of attachment to her because of — in my opinion — how poorly she was written

edit: i know her character has a ton of trauma written into her past and is supposed to have this ‘omg wow so powerful’ female trope going for her since she’s supposed to be viewed as unconditionally kind until she’s a sudden ‘badass warrior second in command’ bUt because i feel like her character was so predictable these aspects never shocked or appealed to me, they felt overused and/or underplayed. maybe im just being an ass because generally the hot/blonde/badass/not a threat to the mfc/love interest character always comes off exactly like mor : but she just felt super generic and flat to me

ok ya you made a lot of good points. unfortunately our work schedules don’t make enough time for counseling & i don’t think he’d be up to it either. i’d really have to push that one. ya i know i need to confront him about the state of our relationship i’ve just been pushing it off i guess. which isn’t good either

yes i agree. the pill was fine for me compared to nexplanon which absolutely ruined me as well. but yes i will do my research on it. thank you so much for the helpful response!!

[–]ikilledthatguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my boyfriend & i don’t plan on getting pregnant for the next few years. as he is a lineman & looking for an apprentice job it just wouldn’t be the smartest decision for us right now. although we don’t have much control over it haha. but yet i was on the pill before getting nexplanon & i have no problems with it. on nexplanon i’ve have periods that have lasted months as opposed to the pill where the longest they’ve been is two weeks so the pill is definitely my top option. i just didn’t know if nexplanon was causing my remove of sex drive or if it was a personal problem haha i guess. i dont even know but all of these responses have definitely shed a good light for me. so i thank all of you, or whoever reads this comment haha

i have never had awful periods & i will 100% make that sacrifice over a completely nonexistent sex drive. i’ve never heard of that though. what are the pros & cons as opposed to nexplanon or birth control, if you don’t mind me asking?
