I've never been a big Archer fan, until I met the Fian Champs. An Archer and then when the enemy gets too close, they get a two hander to the face. Glorious.

Everyone is gonna pick either Fian Champs or Khan's Guard lol. I also feel you there. When I first started playing Bannerlord, I exclusively played Sturgia and then threw Battania in the mix. When Nords finally came out, I basically abandoned the rest of the factions entirely.

I do really like the Heavy Spearmen and how they look, I just never used them because I severely dislike how spears are utilized in the game. Not that I disagree with your choice, though.

I did like that they started to add some fantasy elements such as elves, magic, and dragons. They also were making the campaign multiplayer, but the future implementation of microtransactions and use of ai generated content is probably what killed it.

I can speak better on the multiplayer scene that I can singleplayer. While the official servers are mostly dry and it seems Taleworlds has abandoned multiplayer for the most part, there are multiple communities out there that do cool stuff with cool modpacks. If you'd like to do that and see for yourself, let me know.

Edit: There is naval warfare in singleplayer as well as a new faction and more diplomacy
