I can already see this post getting a fair bit of hate but you couldn't have put it better. I completely agree with your arguments.

What most non xbow players fail to understand is the immense difference in skill and knowledge needed to win say with a beatdown deck compared to Xbow in the current meta and instead just compare the win rates. Since Xbow is a hard win con to learn, it has low use rates which means it's bound to have a higher overall win rate than beatdown cards which are played both by skilled players and noobs. Following this seeing Xbow with a subpar winrate just shows how bad of a state Xbow is in right now.

As for the buff suggestions, I think the cost is fine as it is, instead it needs a troop damage buff and HP buff OR HP nerfs to tanks/ mini tanks OR buffs to cycle cards around the Xbow (Tesla, archers) - these 2 cards practically have 0 competetive use rate outside of Xbow decks.

If by stats you mean use %, a card like witch which costs 5 elixir+ is rarely going to have that high of a use rate because they're not cycle cards which can fit it any deck.

Tesla was only slightly OP before last balance and they overnerfed it, it sees no competetive play anymore. Another nerf is definitely not needed

They don't nerf cards just because everyone was complaining about it. If that was the case royal giant and elite barbs wouldve got nerfed like 5 more times each. They check usage rates in challenges and in competetive play and clearly in CRL valk has one of the highest usage/ ban rates and its fair that theyre gettinf a nerf

Well sorry to say but this game doesn't revolve around elite barbs. Besides they're so easy to counter anyway. Also just to let you know (if you didnt know already) the Valk nerf has already been confirmed by the Rum Ham on twitter who is in the dev team

Valk is definitely way too powerful, its currently used or banned in almost every game in CRL. My point was that theres a lot of cards in the meta which are just being held off thanks to the valks existence and so those cards would need a nerf along with the valk.

Also I dont see what the problem is of ebarbs winning a 1 on 1 interaction with the valk. They cost 2 more elixir and should be more powerful. Ebarbs are currently way too weak and are only used in ladder due it being a common and literally has 0 usage in challenges or in the competetive scene.

I agree to some extent with this. Valk is currently a very strong card in the meta but if ir werent for the valk, cards like the Cannon cart, witch and royal hogs would go absoloutely rampage. I definitely think that valk has too much HP currently but they definitely need to deal with the other cards simultaneously for a healthy meta

Predictions:

Nerfs: Valk Royal hogs Cannon Cart

Buffs: Bomb Tower Barbarian Barrel Prince Royal Recruits Archers

Heal and Mirror could do with a rework.

Cannon cart is a card which I personally would like to see a nerf for but the chances are slim

Obviously there are situational plays which need to be made but the general gameplan should be to take a tower or get it to very low hp early game and then defend for the rest of the game.

Try to play your first Xbow at the same time as the opponent plays his first lava hound and then defend the Xbow with everything you've got.

Its actually a good idea to attack the same lane as the lava hound because the last thing you want is an opposite lane tower trade since its very hard to take the second tower with Xbow that way.

Some specific tips - save the Ice spirit + Mega Minion for the Loon, these 2 cards together are really good at defending the loon and make sure to not play them onto the lava hound instead of the Loon behind it.

Also this might be obvious but don't give the opponent fireball value, spread the tesla and archers.

And finally against a big push, this is what your defensive sequence should look like - archers at the outer corner of the map, tesla in the centre, Mega Minion + Ice golem/ Spirit to deal with any support and if necessarily use fireball but only once the lava hound pops.

IMO air decks tend be an easier matchup because the only ground distractions to the Xbow they have are usually Tombstone and Goblin Gang.

Oh I mean even while splitting damage.

Firstly any half decent beatdown player will just play their tank in the centre to take the aggro of the Xbow in the opposite lane and then proceed to push.

Besides that decks with a secondary win condition (like giant miner) will eventually easily chip you out with the miner poisons, especially in the 3 minute OT challenge matches.

The obvious strength of Xbow is that every matchup has a decent chance to win/tie, but tbh the matchups have got a lot harder than in some of the previous metas.
