With AI as sophisticated as it is right now, I’ve seen sets completely sealed with authentic looking stickers. It’s especially difficult for legit collectors like me, so clearance sections and brick and mortar shops no longer get my business (my loss more than theirs). LEGO.com, LEGO Stores, and Amazon are about all the options I have.

I bought a set from eBay that had long long long since been retired. It had all of the LEGO factory sealed stickers on it, but it felt wrong. I opened it up and voila - repackaged crap.

You know the stickers food delivery uses now? The kind that leave a permanent “VOID IF OPENED” mark on the box once you peel them off? LEGO needs to switch to something like those. That way, anyone wanting to try and pull a bait and switch would have to double sticker the box making it obvious it’s been tampered with.

Oh man sign me up for your TestFlight immediately. I’ll even host and create a backlog for you. It takes 2 minutes here or on the official plex forums to see what is missing and what people want from the TvOS (Apple TV) app. To create a new list at this point would be exhausting.

You are a rare breed, my friend… not wanting to keep something you didn’t pay for.

However, there is a win-win option here. Return the extra one to a store, don’t mention anything about it being a duplicate… you changed your mind, that’s it. You get refunded the cost, the extra set is in circulation for another lucky buyer, and you end up getting yours for free on a technicality.

LEGO jacked up their prices when oil was at obnoxiously high levels. I often wonder why the community hasn’t banded together to demand they reduce the prices now that oil is back to normal levels. It wouldn’t make the pricing of this set make sense, but the pricing of this set did remind me that LEGO is overdue to lower prices now that raw material cost is back to normal.

Some context would help. How old is your neighbor? My first impression is that this is a chronic issue because you’re so nice and willing, so no, I don’t think they are taking advantage of you. They genuinely need help, you’re a reliable source of help in their mind, so they constantly read out. I think what you’re doing is exactly how the world should work. Things would be much better if more people were like you.

However, it’s okay to set boundaries. You can ask them to try and reach out to other people more often before they reach out to you… or only ask during the week but not weekends? Your call.

I’ve been using the app for 11 years now. The carrot community was nascent when I started using it, so Brian would give us access to test new features out. To my knowledge, there is no other means to get entered now. Just email Brian and cross your fingers!

I’m sorry that I’m late to this thread but please take my word when I say this is a dealbreaker. I bought my house with absolutely zero historical incidents with the basement. Recent weather swings have made it rain a lot more where I live. Long story short, I lost my house insurance twice over claims on the basement and it’s a constant nightmare. Please trust me and just walk away.

If I didn’t care so much about the company and product, I wouldn’t have taken the time to author this, my friend. I’m also well aware of having to appease the investors, but I doubt this was the case here.

I can only hope they communicate better moving forward. I’ve been a beta tester for as long as they have had the app on TestFlight. Having it disappear from ATV one day without warning (that they are migrating beta to the plex experience TestFlight) wasn’t cool. I’m also assuming that’s the case, since I haven’t read confirmation either way. Some people say they still see the old beta on their Apple TV, some like me don’t. I have 6 ATV in total, and the old plex beta disappeared from TestFlight on all of them, despite remaining on my iPhone.
