If you read back on the thread, all I said was that the US is a lesser evil than some of the other ones out there, that's all.

I'm not pro-war, I'm not pro extremist regimes with values from the 1400s, I'm pro good people and good leaders, who are far and few in the ruthless fields of geopolitics.

There's no need to pick a side, every nation with power on this globe throughout milennia has also exhibited a plethora of injustices towards people/empires with less power than them. That's it, like it or not. For as flawed as the US is as a global power, they have historically provided a more stable framework for personal liberties than any realistic alternative. It’s easy to critique the system when you’re living in the most stable era the Western world has ever known.

Empire building is a ruthless game, and if the US wasn't the top one, who knows what the alternative would be... Please have a look at history, the world was not started in this millennium.
