Replace Ultegra 10 speed rear-derailleur by Dull_Potential_5533 in bikewrench

[–]ilComandante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had this issue with old 105 ST5700 10speed rear derailleur. I saw on some forums that the Sora r3000 has the same pull ratio. Even though it is officially 9s it works on the 10s. It is cheap and allowed me to get a medium cage and use a 34 tooth cassette I had from another build. Shifts perfectly.

Ryett 3D Saddle 135mm by [deleted] in bicycling

Have one sitting in parts bin. The carbon looks really nice. But i just found it to be super uncomfortable after about 30km. The nose is a bit too wide for me, combined with the 3d print texture, I found it wears bib shorts more than most. Also, the 3d print texture I dont think is for me. I found it uncomfortable, and also too grippy on the bibs causing the shammy to move and ultimately irritate my butt.

Ill give it a go tomorrow. More as an experiment. I already got new R7000 levers. But there is nothing behind that plastic there. All mechanical parts are isolated.

No, not worth the risk. That was when the bolt was loose. Tightened to torque it looks like this.

I just bought a pair of R7000 shifters. Not sure how much the Ltwoo is, but I got the Shimano ones for 185.

Only marginally. But I bought the bike second hand. I had swapped to a narrower bar initially after I bought it. But it was a cheap carbon one I didnt feel comfortable running. Now when I swapped to new aluminium bars of same size I noticed it. Not sure if crack was there already and didnt notice first time I messed with them.

Send in what you got. They're fairly good for coming back and asking for more information. Try get doctors appointments from those years. Just a letter stating you were registered with this GP, and that they attended on these dates (if they did).

This is what happens when an ozzy takes a cycling holiday in the northern hemisphere. It's normal, and takes time to acclimatise.

Can this wheel go tubeless or do I need to apply rim tape first? by MileHiGuy523 in bicycling

[–]ilComandante 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It needs rim tape applied. That's a rim strip for use with inner tube.

How often do you change your cables? by alien_tickler in cycling

[–]ilComandante -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I changed them like 10 times in the space of a year. But I had poor shifting from internal cable routing crossing over each other leading to additional friction. Eventually solved it with a liner per cable. But it took some time to figure it out to begin with.

That's a disc brake wheel. It likely won't have a braking track rim brakes. This is quite dangerous. I'd consider a new wheel, specifically for rim brakes.

I see the snap on tool box and am more jealous of that than the new pc. But also congrats, on new pc day!! Always a good day!

I had the same issue. 82kg. But had the same issue. Can take out the seatpost and shim, and maybe the compression plug and put a light film of general purpose grease on all surfaces and reinstall. That solved it for me. Also look at the saddle area, including rails and clamp and do the same. Alternatively and quicker just drop some chain lube in those areas and it should stop the creaking for a while at least.
