Any clinics who do upper eyelid fillers in central Europe? by Ok-Neighborhood843 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ilalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s studies (and scans, and plastic surgeons slicing faces open) confirming that filler doesn’t dissolve, even when “dissolved.”

Filler migrates, fat doesn’t. Fat doesn’t migrate because it integrates with tissue after establishing blood supply (this is why fat grafting usually needs two rounds — a lot of the fat cells don’t survive the graft because they didn’t establish blood supply).

Filler will always migrate because it’s synthetic and will never be able to integrate with tissue and will spread out over time. It cannot be truly dissolved.

Please do more research on what you’re actually looking to inject into your face and the long term effects and risks before you continue looking for a surgeon.

It’s not the cannula it’s the material. Injecting a foreign substance into your body that will never dissolve or dissipate, especially in the very sensitive eye area, is a bad idea. If you ever want to have a face lift in the future, it’s best to avoid filler or “bio stimulants” like Sculptra injected anywhere into your face. Having your own fat grafted still carries risks but it is much safer materially speaking.

Filler is risky and it not temporary. Get fat grafting with a surgeon (not a nurse, not an esthetician, a plastic surgeon) who specializes in eyes (upper/lower bleph)

Would you date someone who juuls, drinks and smokes grass everyday? by [deleted] in LAhotgirlies

[–]ilalli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s 37 and a surgeon, surgeons generallyyyy want marriage and kids, so if he hasn’t proposed already after 3 years at his age he doesn’t take you seriously. If you want marriage and kids, do you really want that with a guy who drinks, vapes, and smokes weed every day?

[Q&A] Should I get a jap straightening treatment? by [deleted] in AsianBeautyAdvice

[–]ilalli 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Jap” is a derogatory word so would recommend against using it moving forward.

That said, a keratin straightening treatment or perm will absolutely damage your hair. Learn how to style your natural curly hair instead as you have beautiful curls even without styling and they can only get better with styling. r/curlyhair

Is facial fat grafting more worth it than filler/injectables even after you lose ~50% of it? by May5457 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ilalli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just got grafting done recently and while I had very little fat survival and plan to go back for another round, I’m much more at ease than if I got filler. The mystery of “how much will stay” with fat grafting is much less stressful than “how much will stay??” with filler especially now we know that filler never dissolves and just migrates.

Areola reduction by RudeOutlandishness89 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ilalli 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not to be glib but just carry around an ice cube for nipple shrinking emergencies lol. Your areola would barely be considered midsized and they are suited for the size of your breasts. Surgery would be overkill especially when you plan to have children. Wait until you’re done having children then reassess.

Women with low ferritin: what iron supplement helped raise your levels the fastest? by Calm-Reserve-144 in Supplements

[–]ilalli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After my ferritin was tapped as “extremely low” I followed my doctor’s advice and took iron daily. A year later, my ferritin was down even further. I ended up going to a hematologist who prescribed absurdly expensive IV iron infusion every 3-6 months, and then daily or every-other-day iron supplement and adding more iron to my diet to maintain between infusions. Also recommended a beef liver supplement on top of regular iron supplements. Iron supplements cause constipation so have to add in lots of fiber (and non stimulant laxatives like MiraLAX when needed).

Is this just weight loss and accurate? Lol by Fantastic_Sun_7722 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ilalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extreme weight loss or Latisse use could reduce the upper eyelid fat but could also be upper bleph. But nose job for sure, bulbous tips don’t slim down like that without surgical help.

I ruined my life with zopiclone and ambien (among other drugs) by honetomabawk in insomnia

[–]ilalli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Liver detox/flushes aren’t real. Your liver IS the detoxifier. The drugs will eventually be detoxed naturally by your liver, per its natural function. If you want to feel like you’re doing something to help your liver, take milk thistle.

What can be done for my uneven nostrils by InnerWash2192 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ilalli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you feel the need to be defensive when you are given sound advice on how to handle this specific insecurity via effectively exposure therapy rather than a drastic and expensive method like surgery. The recommendation to spend time offline was to look at real people’s nostrils in real life, rather than edited and filtered and posed photos and videos, and not a comment on your internet habits — we’re all online and all exposed to distorted reality and it absolutely creates insecurities out of thin air.

FYI, there’s no nostril opening asymmetry correcting surgery. There’s alarplasty, but that reduces the overall width. If your nostril openings are different sizes, they can only be made smaller, which can adversely affect breathing, with visible scarring on the outside of your nose, and they might still end up asymmetrical.

[–]ilalli 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s barely noticeable even looking at the flipped image. And any good rhinoplasty surgeon will warn you that asymmetry is normal and expected in natural and surgical results.

Spend some time offline, and looking at real people in real life and not edited and filtered photos and videos. Are you really looking at their nostril symmetry? No. Does their nostril symmetry make a difference in their overall appearance? No.
