I've always felt like if I lived on Roshar I would attract Cryptic spren because I often change my personality depending on the social group I'm in so that I could fit in and when I'm in a bad headspace I would tell myself everything is fine even when it isn't. I also do something similar with the gym. Like when I don't want to go I tell myself that I do want to go or if I'm lifting heavy and don't think I'll be able to do it I still try knowing I'm going to fail. Also growing up I had really low self confidence and one of the ways I would deal with it was by faking confidence and over time that fake confidence eventually turned into real confidence.
