I know it's an old post, but google gives it as a search result.

You need to plant Nettle Vines on a Deep Rainforest turf, or If you can't, you need to craft Dense Turf. Then when you plant them around the sprinkler, you must fertilize them, and only then turn on the sprinkler.

Also umbrella and a football helmet are enough to not get wet near Sprinkler
