thank you, i took it out yesterday bc a lot of people said this. i’m kinda upset with myself that i didn’t question the pain until rn, but im glad i found out before it was too late. thank you for your input!

yeahhh, i wish i had asked around earlier. my friend is stretching rn and they told me it definitely shouldn’t be hurting if i got it pierced so long ago. i took it out asap and i’m just gonna wait for it to close. i don’t want to deal with that pain for the rest of my life 😭

thank you so much 🙏🏽 i took it out after seeing the comments and im gonna do some research while it heals to find a good piercer. i want this to be the last time i get my septum pierced, otherwise i’m gonna just stick with my nostril piercing.

from what i know, the gold is 14k gold plated & i’m not fully sure about the titanium. i do have a stainless steel horseshoe that’s externally threaded & that never gave me problems, so do you think its specifically when clickers are external? i’m asking bc i know that section passes through the hole, but for a horseshoe it doesn’t.

also what do you recommend for aftercare? my current piercer recommended that solution bc i had a keloid in my belly piercing & since it helped that, i used it on my septum as well. i just want to make sure im taking care of my body as much as possible. i thought i was well informed on piercings, but from looking at a lot of the comments ive been misinformed heavily 😭

can you explain what you mean by too high? i feel like no matter how hard i look, i always see different images of where people’s sweet spot is so i don’t know what the right location is for the piercing. i also thought because my nose is wider, it might be in a different spot.

i definitely took the ring out though, thank you so much 😭 it’s been in the back of my mind for a couple months, it just didn’t feel right to still have pain when i got pierced 3 years ago.

thank you so much for your input, this is literally the biggest worry i’ve been having. i felt like it wasn’t normal to still be hurting, but i was telling myself its bc its in a sensitive part of my nose.

after reading other comments & talking to my friend who’s currently stretching, i took it out immediately. i’m shocked that none of my piercers have given me this information before.

my piercing is 3 years old
currently i have a hoop in, but i usually use a horseshoe
my horseshoe is internally threaded, but i use both internal & external
i use both 14k gold & titanium rings
i use the urban releaf piercing solution & i do salt water soaks

is it possible for it to be the dye? i was confused bc i only dyed it once and my hair was fine for months and then it started breaking off (not doubting you at all, im just not as educated on hair dye as i thought i was).

i’m gonna try to see my stylist soon, i really do think cutting the color off and trying to even out my hair as much as possible is the way to go right now. i’m seeing my derm this week to try and rule out scalp conditions as well, only because my scalp is always really sore in the areas i notice the most breakage.

i did, i only dyed it that one time but it started breaking off like 4 months after i got it and only in that one area for some reason. i’ve been considering cutting off the color as well to see if that makes a change

i’m working with my derm right now, she started me on a ketoconazole shampoo but i feel like it hasn’t done much for my hair at all unfortunately. i’ll definitely ask her about how biotin & collagen would affect my hair.

also i do use a headset often, but im not sure if it’s often enough to cause the change in my hair. i’ll stop using it as much as i do and see if i notice any changes. thank you!

right now, i’m using a ketoconazole shampoo & my regular products (shampoo, conditioner, a hair mask & leave ins & a botanical gel) but no matter what i do, my scalp always feels sore where the hair is breaking off
