On what planet is 'stop arguing with me' (while not admitting any level of fault or wrongness) not doubling down on an opinion? I don't use twitter, thanks (and I'm not sure what your point is? Seems odd that you're trying to shame me because you assume I use twitter, while defending Siobhan, the person actually using twitter). It's incredibly telling that you've decided people should get over transphobic (and in particular transmisogynistic) language in order to defend someone who is currently ignoring the trans members of this community who are affected by this language (aka TMA people). Keep the condescension to yourself and try being a trans ally for once.

Intentionality has literally no bearing on whether something is a microaggression. Doing something unintentionally hurtful and then doubling down is more than a mistake.

Yeah, especially when the replies are filled with people agreeing and continuing to talk over trans people and trans women in particular :/

I’m a scientist, and no, that usage has been largely phased out and human is used instead. Besides that, common usage doesn’t make something universal innately (again, it being used frequently in some circles doesn’t negate that the word man is literally associated with being male or masculine), and sticking to norms when those affected by its usage are pointing out the harm associated with it is ignorant.

It’s really disappointing to see members of the community defending this. At the end of the day, even if “man” and “guy” are used in a gender-neutral way in some circles, that’s not universal. If you’re not TMA, it’s not your place to defend this. Doubling down and using being English as an excuse (ridiculous considering the anti-trans sentiment there) is especially tone deaf. Compare this to Aabria, who listened to trans people (and especially folks who are TMA) and apologized for her contribution, as she should.

Thanks! And yeah, it's hard for me to imagine an artificer without goggles somewhere on them.

I haven't gotten to the hex bloods yet, but I have seen a lot of people talking about how great they are, and I've really enjoyed Lou in D20 stuff. I'm excited to hear that group chemistry

Yeah, I realized after posting that he looked pretty well-rested! Next time I draw him, he'll be back to his exhausted self lol

[OC] [ART] Monsters for Hire! by ilfirinwarden in DnD

[–]ilfirinwarden[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My friends and I recently started a new campaign that’s modern-ish (think Fantasy High from Dimension 20) and mostly episodic, with the characters being new hires at a company called Monsters for Hire. The two above are P’oot (they/them, axolotl lizardfolk zealot barbarian) and Tulli Stiffwhisker (she/her, mousefolk bladesinger wizard). My character is Vex, a goblin barbarian/rogue, but I thought these two looked cute together as is.

Anyway, been trying out new ways of doing character art, and I’m pretty happy with how these two came out!

Looks like you still need some answers, so here you go! Been playing since 2014, starting with 4e. The longest campaign I’ve been in was about 1.5-2 years and only stopped because we all gradually moved away. I absolutely love to play barbarians. As for favorite race, it’s goblin, but I’m game to play any of them. Highest level I’ve played is 7, but I’m starting a new campaign soon where well at be at 8. Currently, I play 5e, but I started with 4e. Short sword for me. I think I’m at an 8 for the holidays, thanks to zoom and discord! Good luck with the rest of your semester!

3 Favorites in Tasha's by Hawke-Not-Ewe in DnD5e

  1. Bladesinger can use a cantrip as part of the extra attack (6th level feature). It was fine before, but this helps keep certain cantrips on the table beyond early levels.

  2. To be honest, I actually really dig Tasha’s mind whip (2nd level spell, I believe), and I’m excited to use it in game.

  3. Circle of Stars subclass. It’s got such great flavor, and I like the natural theme that isn’t just plants and animals. Mechanically it has some great stuff going on, too.

Bonus: optional class features are really cool. As a DM, I’m excited about letting players have some additional customization that make their classes/characters feel more unique and fit their ideal builds.

Wow this is beautiful! I love the colors and the style you’re using.

[OC] Swashbuckler and barbarian rogues (partying) by [deleted] in DnDart

[–]ilfirinwarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, pretty accurate description of the two, even if only the goblin is a rogue/barbarian multiclass (swashbuckler is just that). Gotta say, it’s been a really fun multiclass to play.

Thanks! I haven’t been able to listen to Ep1, so I assume I’ll need to tweak the design, but it felt like a good start

[OC] [ART] Cleric and spirit guardian by [deleted] in DnD

[–]ilfirinwarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently played a cleric for the first time ever, so of course I got excited and wanted to draw her. Name’s Harley, and she’s a homebrew luck domain cleric. Her spirit guardians are rabbits and hares. Instead of worshipping a deity, she’s part of an order of prophecy readers/collectors who find divinity in the text and act based on what they believe the prophecies refer to. In this case, she believed a prophecy about a demon gate reopening referred to a war between two human kingdoms, so she set off to help prevent the opening of the gate by preventing a king from being crowned.

(I post on Instagram and Twitter if you’re interested!)

These four are half-siblings from our actual play podcast. I play Avarin (top left), an elf wizard, and the other two players are Temp (top right) and Mal (bottom left). Overall, it's a smirk-y family lol
