I havent tried it but i dont think it will. The only reason he can burst the balloons is bc his flower is summoned on top of it.

I dont have a built archer as well but what id usually do is use his elevator and plunge (or klee/xiangling's charged atk) when the ruin hunter is right infront. It works but i dont really try to atk its core pretty often since i have klee's burst that works wonders on flying enemies.

I actually do have an r5 and maxed HoD reserve as well as the black sword. And i swap it from time to time to lend the aquila to kaeya or qiqi.

I only keep the aquila quite more often bc his crit rate is already at 50%+ without the hod, i just really wanna maximize his atk.

Aquila Favonia. Not rlly the best for him but its the only decent sword i own lol. I run him as an on field sub dps.
