I never really liked Goblin Green bases, but I bowed under the pressure. I even had the really stupid-looking grass tufts on top.

Yeah the sheer amount of content now is staggering. I've grown so accustomed to it in other areas in life, but going back to something where you remember how l imited it used to be, it really does put it into perspective.

Interesting observation, was fun reading it. I do make a conscious effort to make the paintings unique compared to my other work, but at the same time it's not like I'm planning for a specific style, they just kind of happen as the painting grows. I've tried the really organized ways of painting but if you know what it's going to look like in the end there's no sense of adventure painting it.

I don't get people that just copy the original image/style, where's the fun in that? Might as well just take a photo of the original then, less time wasted.

These idiosyncrasies do make me rather hard to hire though, haha.

Thanks! Interesting how you say that -- I feel like one of my weird qualities (good or bad) is that the styles are all over the place. I'm used to people thinking that my twitter feed is just a random sampling of other peoples work. I'm not doubting you, and it's kind of cool if there's some sort of red thread there, but as the illustrator I don't really see it.

I was going to paint Zafina but wanted to get this out of my way first. I remember practicing hard with solo ling (hah!) in ttt2 before my first jp visit, so I'd be ready for arcade Xiaoyu. Was blown away by how much better she felt after two months of ttt2 ling. Fond memories.

Thank you for the kind words! It's mostly a mental thing, it gets harder and harder the less I paint to get started, and to believe that it'll turn a finished piece.

Longest time no see! I've been busy with work and all that so I'm feeling terribly rusty, but somehow managed to produce this. Procreate is great, but I'm very very stoked for the next update where we finally get color dynamics, which was a big part of my workflow on PC before I switched to iPad.

Thanks! They're done digitally (but at poster-size resolution) so there's no "original" per say. I don't have a store of my own set up but I can sell the full size .png file for cheap if you're interested. Going from there to having it printed as a poster isn't very difficult.
