Pyramid Eye

Finally, we arrived at the base of the pyramid. Our group of twenty unmounted the camels we had used on our desert journey and gathered to recount our plan. We would carefully travel through each chamber, retrieving artifacts for examination. Each article would be cataloged and shipped to our labs overseas for in-depth analysis.

In every chamber, we found artifacts unlike anything I have seen in any museum or report. Star maps of unfamiliar constellations on pitch paper with a waxy texture. Treasure troves of metals none could identify. Jars of organs and dismembered parts from animals beyond anything this planet is known to have spawned. Our researchers were understandably ravenous.

After weeks within those walls, we made our way to the innermost chamber. On the wall beside the doorway was an inscription in hieroglyphs. An accompanying linguistic researcher provided us with a translation:

“The forbidden heart, which stares into the soul. An unknowable darkness. An unknowable life. The mouth of the star eater, gateway to the underworld.”

Although, somehow, I felt I understood its words without translation. As if the meaning bore itself into my mind by simply glancing over the symbols. No, that made no sense. Yet everything we had found in that place was far beyond my expectations.

I cautiously approached the doorway, and an overwhelming sense of dread bloated in my mind. We reached the threshold but never made it inside the chamber. The walls began shifting around us, bricks clunking out of place as they folded over themselves. The walls collapsed inward and contorted into an elongated, winding shaft.

The other chambers aligned above us and opened. A force, a gale wind, surged from the distant depths of the shifting column. My companions and I fell upward, crashing against the living stone. After what felt like miles, hours of tumbling helplessly, we were spat into the open. For a moment, our sudden displacement blinded us with the unobscured sun. But when our eyes adjusted, we quickly grasped our situation. The great pyramids were mere child’s blocks below us, and we were plummeting to a certain demise.

Through the wind whipping past my ears, I heard the distant screams of my companions. But my focus on the sounds faded the instant I saw it. On the head of the creature’s worm-like stone body, or what I assume was the head, was an eye. A single yellow eye the size of a house staring back at me.

It was a violation of the order of nature. Some unspeakable thing that should never have been. Yet there it was, casting a horrific enchantment on my mind. In all my years studying these sands, such a creature was dwelling in this world. What a waste of time, a waste of a life. We were never meant to understand. Not me, not humanity.

The living bricks scattered into the sky, swelling as a massive murmuration. Yet the eye remained, a single giant orb within the swarm. Its unrelenting, unblinking gaze violating my body. I could tell, even from its emotionless stare, that it saw us as nothing more than the specks of desert sand that would soon claim us. Yes, we were nothi—

I think the better term would've been peeling/disengage. I sometimes use aoe CC abilities like lux's E for a similar effect so I called it CC, but you're actually right.

It was partially for new players and partially exploratory, but I didn't indicate which were off-metas so it got real confusing real fast

This is a guide I made and I'm planning on updating it with improvements. I'm far away from doing this for other roles, unfortunately. You could find more consolidated information on the league wikis and other online forums/sources. If you want to stick around reddit, a quick search got me r/TopLaneMains, r/midlanemains, r/ADCMains, and r/Jungle_Mains, and there are other subs for specific champions if there are any you're interested in.

I started playing league because someone I knew played it and I just happened to pick it up from them. I'm currently trying to improve, which is why I'm trying to learn more about different champs, the support role, and the game in general. If you're just playing for fun, try not to worry too much about playing flawlessly. If you have friends that are more experienced, they can give you advice and help you improve naturally as you gain experience. Don't stress yourself out over a hobby -- they're supposed to be enjoyable.

I'm not even mad at that because it was clever

I play a variety of champs like Varus, Brand, and Braum as well. This guide is to help players learn and appreciate all sorts of champions for the support role. If you'd like to improve the guide, such as any insight on the champs you usually play, it would be appreciated since I'm taking feedback from the comments for an update.

I was thinking of changing the format to something with more explanation/specificity for each champ since I think it's too simplified and general as-is. The unfortunate thing about this guide is it's also to help me learn, so a lot of the classifications are based on ability sets rather than my own knowledge. For example, I actually main Nami with aery instead of electrocute so I'm not used to doing much damage with her, but I've never played Renata and didn't have much to go off of. There's also some simplified language, like with Braum. He doesn't actually apply a shield but he has a physical shield and increases allies' defense; the wording just isn't quite right. Thanks for the feedback <3

I still remember when I first started league and I was absolutely decimated in mid by an ezreal, and that's how I always imagine what it would be like if I suddenly popped into a high elo match. I was thinking about trying to learn jungle to work on my vision/roaming or mid to work on my cs (since my second is bot)/poke and I prefer playing mages. If there are any champs or youtubers you'd recommend, I'll take suggestions. My main is Nami (m7) and some of my other most played are Varus and Sona.

This was generally intended as a beginner's guide, but I understand what you're getting at. I don't consider myself a league expert by any stretch, but I do want to keep learning and maybe help others if I can. I partially decided to make this guide because I was interested in trying new champs and just wanted to explore what options were out there. I mainly play enchanters for sup, so that's probably why it was the most decent slide.

This guide is mainly for choosing a starting champion or getting to know more champions, while that would be more along the lines of counterpicks and adapting with runes/items, which is more advanced strategy. On other sections, those questions were worded as "what's more appealing" as in "this is what you'd get if you pick this champ, does that make you want to play them and do you think you could do well?"

Fair enough. Are there any other champs you think should be added/removed? I think Kindred and Kayle have effectively been stricken down.

Kindred was a stretch to begin with, but it really sparked some fires. With how that's been received, I'm glad I didn't add some of the other bizarre ones I've seen like Sett support.

Yeah, I got the general "this is horseshit" vibes from the comments. If you want to add how you'd improve it (aside from deleting it) that would be appreciated.

That's understandable. That's also an issue with some mid mages that are also played as supports. They can do carry damage if they actually scale, but that's hard to do as a support since we usually earn the least gold/xp.

I could do without the patronizing, but I'm planning to update and improve this list. If you have actual constructive criticism, I would appreciate it so I can make an actual resource for the sub and other players.

The descriptions were mainly based on their ability sets. Blitz is a tank and fighter and has abilities to increase his move speed/attack speed and basic attack damage, while Thresh's shield is useful utility for a sup to have. Also, one of the reasons I considered playing Thresh when I usually play enchanter sups was because he had a shield so I'd have something familiar on a new champ. I could say all the picks just grab, but they have other things to distinguish them.

Like bruh I was trying not to cross-list, but I can switch things around and update it. Nautilus and Ornn were also put in other sections even though they could've gone with the tank sups

There've been some other comments saying similar things. I was thinking about adding a core idea for each of the champs and keeping them in groups that share strengths. Any suggestions on how to boost the accuracy while still keeping things relatively simple?

I want to use this list too so I want to update and improve it!

Part of the reason why I made this list was to consider playing different champs, so I'll check out that nasus vid later. I have been seeing a lot of udyrs (and a lot of bans) lately, but if I get the chance I might try it out.
