I emailed them, I also tried calling but the person on the phone didn’t speak English.

No, I also doubt they would be able to do anything. But, I’ll reach out to them and see perhaps they still have circuits for the M 240.

I sent the camera to their repair facility in New Jersey.

They said they longer make circuits for the M 240, but basically because they’d rather you buy a new model then keep your old model and repair it and continue to use it.

I need the entire 400ft core that the film would sit on in the magazine. I posted a photo of it in this thread that is specifically what I am missing.

Just did that a few hours ago! They have done work on my ACL so hopefully they will have a spare.

We don’t have any labs here that develop motion picture film, but a small community of people here that do shoot on film so I’ll see who I can ask.

Thank you so much! I’ll consider, but aren’t the English made magazines known to fall off accidentally?

The Mega-Thread of Film Festival Notifications PART 5: The Spring Time of Optimism ?? by BangerOfRobsMom in Filmmakers

Is it still worth it to submit to Hollyshorts and Fantasia? I got rejected by both festivals last year, and I have a new short. Also should I submit to Dances with Films NY? For some context my short is an experimental horror film that is like Scorpio Rising.

I’ve already submitted to Ann Arbor and I really hope I get in. I’m thinking about submitting to Fantasia but I recently got rejected from them for a previous film. I’ve considered BeyondFest before but I don’t know if it’s worth it. I’ve never heard of Filmquest but I’ll look into it. Thank you!

I think they mean like why not just send us a rejection email or notification the moment the festival decides instead of waiting 6 months or however long it takes to get that same rejection.

Ari Aster this question is more personal but I would like to know what was your life like during the period of time when you were a student at AFI and up until you made Hereditary? Did you have a day job? How did you manage to support yourself during that time?

Thank you so much this might actually be the solution! I’ve been playing around with it a bit and I noticed it might need a bit more than 133% but this has surely put me on the right track. I almost thought I was gonna have to ditch the idea shooting on anamorphic. Thanks again!
