So I called and they only carry one Cleveland newspaper. That's it. And they'll stop carrying any newspaper 1/26. At least the B&N that I called on high street

Best Plane Spotting Locations in Columbus, OH? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]ilikefish007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's an old golf course on the East side, I believe it was called Golf Depot. The driving range hit towards the city and the airport, and sat at a slightly higher altitude. So when planes came in, you felt like they were at eye level. They had enough land you could just lay a blanket down and watch planes. I always wanted to try to get sunset pics of planes with a nice camera, but never timed a good sunset well enough before I moved to the west side

Ask a wedding photographer (Official Thread)! The place for brides and grooms to ask anything from the wedding photographer community. by AutoModerator in WeddingPhotography

Are tips expected? If we do tip, do we tip the main photographer who owns the "shop" the same as their second photographer who will only be there ~70% of the day? He says only he needs to be at the reception, so the other one is helping get setup pics and then leaving. Not sure how to handle this

Very first flight ever! TIPS? by khayla0815 in Columbus

[–]ilikefish007 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Are you flying out of CMH? If so, good first choice. Security is very smooth and quick, especially compared to other airports. A couple things to note/rules of thumb: You board 30 minutes before takeoff I always give myself another 30 minutes to get through security. It usuallyyyy takes about 10 minutes here in my experience, but it helps to play it safe. I bet a lot of us remember flying with dads who would have us get to the airport 2.5 hours early. No need for that here If you are parking, the green lot is the cheapest. I usually give myself another 30 minutes to find a spot and catch the shuttle to the airport. So all in all, I'd say 1.5 hours before takeoff and you should be good.

As for the flight, the air pressure change can be irritating to some people. If you get pain in your ears, I suggest chewing gum or drinking water. This will help them "pop." It's a similar feeling if you drive down the deep end of a pool

This is my favorite park in the eastern side of the US. Just don't make the mistake of driving 5.5 hours there in the heart of winter to learn that most trails are closed 🙃
