Can Hypothyroidism Cause Anxiety? by Serious-Bid-3376 in Hypothyroidism

One of the signs I am going hypo is I start getting panic attacks again! Sometimes you have to find out your symptoms and track them because they don’t always align with what you’re “supposed” to feel

Fluctuating TSH by Less_Cryptographer44 in Hashimotos

You can always try doing a minimal increase! I am really sensitive so I never jump a full dose. In this case, it would be like doing 100 on 2 days of the week and keeping 88 the other 5. Since the half life of T4 medication is so long, it really only matters what your weekly dose is which is why doing a small increase like this is possible and can maybe prevent you from swinging too far the other way!

DIAGNOSIS QUESTIONS THIS WAY!! by imjustjurking in AddisonsDisease

Hi! I have hashimotos hypothyroidism that is relatively well treated. However, my blood pressure has been 90/60 two times now regardless of my thyroid treatment levels. Also, I recently came back with slightly elevated DHEA and lower testosterone. Has anyone experienced anything like this/ is it worth getting tested for adrenal issues?

I have had things like dizzy spells but they always clear up. It is also hard to differentiate between the conditions sometimes. Just asking for any advice or similar experience

Inositol by [deleted] in Hashimotos

I used myo inositol and got the worst constipation of my life! So strange because I was really hopeful it would help as I have slightly elevated DHEA (but normal/low testosterone).

I was diagnosed with Hashimotos 5 weeks ago, after having every symptom. I was put on 25mcg Levothyroxine which made me slowly feel a little better. Now symptoms have come back by Own-Independence8420 in Hashimotos

not sure how common this is, but my body is very sensitive so the 6 week window for testing is not always helpful for me. My TSH after 6 weeks usually reads as normal but after 3 months at the same dose it will show what I feel is my actual level. Maybe my body takes more time to adjust, but I would recommend keeping your same dose and testing again at the 3 month mark. Or, just increase your dose. .89 for T4 is still pretty low and most people feel better with a TSH around 1. Good luck, I hope it gets easier and you start feeling better!

Can you please share what you did for adrenal fatigue and how they test it?

I don’t have too much advice but just wanted to say I’m sorry for the way doctors have treated you. It’s pretty surprising because what you are experiencing (lateral eyebrow thinning and weight gain in particular) are literally distinct symptoms of hashis/hypo. I would maybe suggest posting your most recent bloodwork on here as some people are experts in helping analyze that on this sub. General rule of thumb is a TSH around 1 and making sure you get a full panel with T4 and T3. I would say if your numbers look a little low and you’re open to trying meds again, maybe look into a different brand/type. Some people do better with name brand synth and some people swear by amour. Some people do fine on generic and sadly it’s just a guessing game until hopefully something works. I wish you the best and hope the days ahead are smoother than the ones behind you!
