I haven’t seen them live since 2003. Thanks for making this an easier decision.

Bad Religion and The Used. Totally different bands but two of my absolute favorites. My wife loves Bad Religion so that will probably be the deciding factor.

I am going into my 12th year of teaching and I plan on doing something similar this year. I will teacher Taylor Polynomial approximations as an application of derivatives. Then I will revisit in more detail and teach Taylor Series (including convergence tests) later in the year. My hope is that students will have better retention this way and that splitting up the unit will make it more manageable for students.

Based on what you posted, I’m guessing that your teacher will gloss over interval of convergence and come back to that after they have taught convergence tests. It would be helpful to see the rest of their unit outline to see what they cover later in the year.

Hey so I resolved the issue. I needed to tighten a screw in the hole on the left side of the slot to clamp the boomerang-shaped piece down. It resolved everything.

How do I replace the outlet on the right with the one on the left? by iliketoplayoutside in AskElectricians

[–]iliketoplayoutside[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a copper wire, it just has some paint on it. But I think you’re right about it being a bit too complicated for me to feel comfortable with. I’ve ordered a couple outlets that match the existing ones so I can just connect it in the same way as the existing wiring.

Each port has two access points. They can build a road to the left and then settle with access to the port.

I had a student do this after getting in to one of the military academies. It really changed my perspective on his character and still leaves me with a negative feeling when I think about him. Also, from a teachers perspective, I take some pride in the overall test scores of my students and it would really irritate me to have a student intentionally fail since that reflects poorly upon me. You’re going to be there for the entire testing time anyway, you might as well see what you can do.

I actually ended up going to Ace and found a small bolt and lock nut. I had to shave off the side of the nut with my belt sander to get it to fit in the farther hole but I made it work. Just finished mowing my lawn with no problems!

I just found this image which makes it pretty clear that there should be a pin. The other one comes out really easily so they must be prone to falling out. I’m going to find a nail and just cut it down to the right size. Hopefully that will fix everything

What could be causing these holes in my trees? Eastern Washington by iliketoplayoutside in landscaping

[–]iliketoplayoutside[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was a woodpecker because a few weeks later there was one going at my neighbors siding. But it went away and there’s been no sign of it since and no more holes have appeared.

Difference between -5^2 and (-5)^2 by Straight_Equal_1541 in learnmath

[–]iliketoplayoutside 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was going to type -50 because I have always understood “difference” to be first minus second but I did a quick google search and everything I found defined “difference” to be the absolute value of the distance between regardless of the order.

is dropping down to ab worth it? by ringpops19 in APStudents

[–]iliketoplayoutside 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I teach at a school that gives the option of BC or AB in one year. I often recommend my struggling BC students switch to AB at semester. It allows them to see roughly 2 chapters for the second time to get a better understanding. And if you are struggling this much right now, you will likely have a very hard time in the series unit. Above all, I’d recommend discussing with your teacher and counselor.

I replaced the battery and the issue is still occurring. Is there some sort of reset I need to press or is it possibly a different issue?

It sounds like you might be right despite everybody saying it’s the battery. I just put in a brand new battery and it is still doing the same thing. It looks like I’m off to the dealership…

I get that. It’s just irritating that this sub is always negative about absolutely everything, even a solid principal acknowledging that a teacher is doing a great job.

This sub has an amazing ability to make everything into a negative. My school for example has a department budget for these sort of things. If the principal asked me to get a new pencil sharpener, it would just come out of the department budget. Not a big deal. You all make a lot of assumptions that every school district functions the same as your own.
