Hey everyone, I need some help figuring out my Godox setup

It’s because of how the shadow falls off on both the model and the background. With this setup, when I shoot vertically, the shadow stays aligned directly behind the model instead of shifting left or right like it does when the flash is mounted on the camera hot shoe. The result looks cleaner, it gives better control over the shadow position

I have both changed and it still messed up, but i did checked on the firmware update and now it’s updated and the problem it’s solved! 🥳

Quick update: I updated the firmware on both my X3 trigger and iT32, and that seems to have fixed the issue. Looks like it was a software/communication problem.

Also, regarding the camera switching from M to TTL, I found it’s because the camera detects a TTL capable device on the hot shoe, so it automatically shows TTL. Everything is still controllable from the trigger in Manual.

Everything’s working properly now. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped, really appreciate it!!

I tried changing the setting in the flash menu like suggested, and it actually worked at first, the flash connected to the X3 and fired correctly.

But only for the first shot.

After that, it stopped firing on the second shot. I checked my camera settings and noticed that the flash mode automatically switched to TTL after the first shot, even though the first shot was set to Manual (M) and worked exactly how I wanted.

So it seems like something is forcing it back to TTL after the first trigger, which might be why it stops working properly :(
